Chapter 204
Morgana POV
I waited and waited for Liora. Something has happened to her, and I am quite sure I am on my own again. I followed Austin and Rebel to their hotel. I waited across the street at the local coffee shop until they closed. After that, I waited in the alley and continued my surveillance on the pair. Around nine in the evening, I finally saw them. They walk to the restaurant in the hotel. My magic isn’t strong enough yet, and I will need to be strategic on getting both of them to the tunnel cell system.
As soon as I see the two come out of the restaurant, I see my opportunity. Rebel went to sit in the lobby area, and Austin was still in the line at the reception desk. I don’t know what he is doing, but I started with Rebel. As soon as she looks comfortable, I open the portal and send her to her cell.
I wait for Austin to be alone, and I go to open the portal. My magic fails me though. I can’t open a portal for him or myself for that matter. Shit. I sneak away in the shadows of the alley and wait to feel my magic come back. Rebel isn’t going anywhere, so I will wait this out until I get the opportunity to get Austin in his cell.
I call the rogues I have working with me and tell them to keep an eye on Rebel. Make sure she is fed. I don’t want her to die from starvation. I want her to die from my hands. I will kill her. I will do it in front of Reid. Then I will destroy him.
I am waiting for my magic to return, and I see that Austin has left. I follow him quietly and see he is meeting with Reid and the councilman from earlier today. There are guards with them. They go to the location of the house. I’m glad I used charms to lay out the illusion that the house is gone. I made it look like an open field. The reality is, I changed all of the surroundings to make it look like where they are standing is the location of the house. But it’s not. It’s further back about a quarter of a mile, so they can’t see the barrier I placed.
Using that amount of magic drained me. That’s probably why it’s not working now. I feel fatigued by it. No matter though, I have Rebel. Austin will go feral, eventually. Let him. Regardless of the outcome, Reid will see his precious family lose their minds or die.
I see Austin on the phone barking orders, though I’m not close enough to hear what he is saying. I see him approach Reid and Stefan, and they have a short discussion. Afterwards, I saw that Reid was talking to Austin. The look of guilt crossing his face. Austin says a few words and then continues his search, but I see Reid walk away and pull out his phone. He looks completely distraught. Good. Soon he will be destroyed.
I continue watching everyone. Austin is by himself, again. He isn’t close to anyone. I take the opportunity to try to open the portal. I feel it is happening. The magic is creating a portal. I focus all my energy, and the portal opens, and he drops in. HA! Yes! Success! I see Reid and Stefan run to the spot, but the portal is closed. They don’t know where he is now. Only I know. Liora is nowhere to be found either.
I take the moment to summon a portal for myself. It opens but just barely. Enough to get through before it closes on me. I make it through and laugh hysterically. Finally! I have them both.
I enter the cells, and I see them both. One in each cell. I will have my revenge. I approach Rebel’s cell first. “Hello Rebel. Surprise!”
I see her eyes seething. I’m elated. She should be upset. She is in a cell laced with silver. She can’t touch the bars, even if she wanted to or she would get burned. She has no choice but to sit there. I will get the rogues to chain her up shortly.

Austin is in his cell. I laugh even harder, “We meet again, my dear Austin. Did you miss me?”
“Morgana! I will kill you myself!” Rebel says from behind.
“You and what army, Rebel?” I said, sarcastically. “No one will find you. I made sure of it. You will be found when I am ready to end your miserable life.”
“Big talk for a witch that only wants revenge because she was dumped. You’re a psycho bitch.” Austin said from behind.
I turned to Austin, “Oh, sticks and stones. You will never understand why I am doing these things. You are no better than the dirt under my shoe. But, luckily for you, I have a use for you. See, you will help me destroy your dear mate. And then,” I say looking at Rebel, “You won’t have the strength to fight me.”
I started walking to the end of the corridor, still smiling and laughing, “When everything is said and done, I will have my revenge. Even if I die, I know you won’t survive either. We can all rot in hell together.”
I leave the room. Usually, life isn’t fair. It hasn’t been fair in my favor. But now, I feel like the tides are finally turning, and I am close to exacting my revenge. I will make sure I deliver the final blow.
