His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 220

Chapter 220

As soon as we arrive, Rebel looks at me, “Let’s finish this and go home, my love.”

“That is the best idea I have heard today.” I said as I kissed her.

Stefan leads the way to the dungeon cells. As soon as we enter, I can feel the nausea rolling through Rebel. I push my calm to her so she can settle her stomach, and she smiles gratefully at me.

The further into the dungeon cells we go, the more we hear the shrieking of a mad woman. “That would be Morgana.” Stefan said.

“An animal trapped in a cage.” I said calmly. As we reach her cell, Rebel stops me.

“Austin, grandpa, don’t reveal yourselves yet. Let her see that both of you are still alive and healthy. That will be the final nail in the coffin.”

I’ve said it before, when my mate wants to drive a point home, she can be vicious about it. “Alright, darling. You go ahead.”

Rebel steels herself and walks the rest of the way. Reid, Stefan, and I walked behind her a few feet away.

Then Rebel speaks, “Well, Morgana. Looks like you lost.”

“Shut up, you bitch. You think this is over?!” Morgana spat.

“Yes. It is over. See you, don’t even know what you look like. Your magic is suppressed indefinitely. Your youthful glow is fading, and the old hag you really are is starting to dim through. You lost everything, Morgana. All because you were rejected. Was it worth it?”

“How dare you look down on me you worthless nobody!”

I hear Cronos wanting to growl, but I cut him off. ‘Let Rebel handle this. We will have our moment.’

“I don’t look down on you, Morgana. I pity you. You know, Cullen was my first mate, and he rejected me. Unlike you, I moved on with my life. Why couldn’t you move on with yours? You’re not the first person to be rejected, and you wouldn’t have been the last. What purpose did any of this serve?”

“You would never understand. You’re too small minded to even begin to understand the plans I had before you ruined it. But at least, your grandfather is dead, and your mate is probably still in a coma. The silver I used on him was top grade concentration.”

“Yeah, about that….Austin, Grandpa?”

We walked up to Rebel, and we were on either side of her. “They are both alive and well, Morgana. So, again, what do you think you gained? What was it all for?”

Morgana’s face looked pale like she had seen a ghost. “No! Impossible! There is no way either of you could have survived!”

“Well, we did, Morgana.” I start, “Now, thanks to your foolishness, you get to live the rest of your life in this cell, while Rebel and I continue to live our lives and grow our family.”

Then Reid chimed in, “Morgana, if I had known this is how you would have turned out, I would have killed you

then and saved my family all the heartbreak and despair you have caused. I lost my daughter because of you. My granddaughter was treated like a slave because of you. She was kidnapped by Kaden, because of you. My grandson-in-law almost died because of you. My mate was almost left as a widow because of you. If I ever had any guilt or remorse for how things ended back then, you effectively crushed it. When I leave here today, I will never again think of you.”

Then Rebel spoke, “WE will never think of you.”
