Chapter 245
Aiden POV
After spending the best evening of my life with Thalia, I offer to walk her home. Really, I wanted to take her to my room. I want her and her scent in my bed. Hell, I don’t want to let her leave my side. However, she said she had things to do and a father to deal with.
I don’t like her dad. Knowing they are a crime family is not helping him either. Above all of the news she broke to me, I was most shocked to hear that her father only treats his daughters like commodities. The marriage alliance sounds like it’s for his benefit, not his daughter’s.
If she were in love with the guy, I could understand. But it’s clear she finds that Armando guy revolting. I see in her eyes the resentment she has for her father, and I also see, he doesn’t give a shit.
Thalia insists on me going back to the hotel and not to worry about her. She will be fine. I wanted to see her to the door, maybe ask for a kiss. Try to be romantic, but she seems to recoil at anything intimate.
“There is more to her story, Aiden. Her behavior is always going back and forth. She hates being in a crowd of people and prefers open air. She resents her father and looks at the men in her life with disgust in her eyes.’
‘At least she doesn’t look at us like that, Leon. But I agree with you, there is more she isn’t telling us, and she doesn’t trust us enough to tell us right now. I have a feeling she is going to make us work for it, buddy.’
“Then at least we won’t be bored. That fucking Tina could make a dead man complain of boredom.’ He snickered, and honestly, so did I.
‘Let’s get to the hotel. I want to talk to Reid about everything.’

“Hey bro! How’d it go with your mate?” He smiled and it quickly faded when he saw me walk in. “What the fuck happened?”
“She is a mafia princess, Reid.” I said, “There is so much I need to process.’

He opens the fridge and tosses me a beer. “So, out with it. Let’s figure it out.”
I explained everything that happened during our conversation. I explained how I found her in the water, how she put on a different mask to hide her pain, how she is clueless about pack life, her shock about our father treating women so well, and then the bombshell that she is a mafia princess.”
Once I was done explaining, I looked at Reid and he was looking at me with a smirk. “What?”
“Bro, you are already in love. Damn, it’s good to see. If the Moon Goddess paired you with her, then she knows you are the right one to help her and even her sister. You have to trust the Moon Goddess’ plan.’

“I know. I just don’t know where to begin. She didn’t even want me to walk her home, brother. She said she was doing it to protect me. Her behavior is weird too.’
“What do you mean?”
“She recoils at any intimate touch.” I said, “Even holding her hand. There is always a slight stiffening of her

back. It’s subtle, but it’s there.”
Reid growls and his eyes turned dark, “I’ve seen that behavior once before. When I first took over at Blue Moon.”
“What did it mean?”
“It’s very likely she was assaulted, Aiden.” He said, and his expression darkened further.
My expression darkened and rage started building up, “Didn’t her father say she wasn’t pure?”
“He sure as fuck did.” Reid snarled. If there is one thing Willis men will never tolerate is abuse of any kind on women and children. I feel like an asshat for not seeing the signs sooner.
“If she was assaulted, Aiden, then you are going to have to go at her pace for everything. Even something as simple as kissing her hand will need her consent first, until she trusts you.” He said and I feel his anger rolling off his shoulders, “FUCK, BRO!”
Reid starts pacing the room. Apparently, Chase doesn’t like hearing his sister-in-law was hurt either. Then Reid stops, “FUCK! That could be why she can’t feel her wolf, Aiden.”
Now rage is rolling off me, but Reid starts theorizing, “If she was close to getting her wolf, and her wolf did what she could to protect Thalia, then her wolf may be suppressed from the trauma.”
