His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 258

Chapter 258

“I understand. I won’t make you look bad. We will both accept him. Even if we leave later, we will do it properly, so your name isn’t tarnished, Tio.” I said.

“Thank you, Thalia. For now, just get here safely. Let me know when you are on the way. I will let Alpha and the guards know, so you don’t have any problems getting in when

you arrive.”

“I will be calling from a different number, Tio. I can’t keep using this phone. I promise, I will call you, once we are on the way.”

We said our goodbyes and hung up. I looked at my mother. “Ma, come with us. You don’t have to stay here with papa.

“Go with you where?” I heard from behind us. I closed my eyes, shit. My father came back earlier than expected.

I turned around. “Shopping. With Mia and me. She doesn’t need to stay here with you all the damn time, does she, papa?” I made sure to be extra snarky just so he wouldn’t suspect anything.

“Shopping for what?” He asked.

My mother chimed in, “A wedding dress. Even though you promised me, you wouldn’t push her to marry Armando and clearly lied about it, Diego; it doesn’t mean she can’t walk down the aisle like an actual bride.”

“Blanca, I know I promised you, but this is for Thalia’s own good.”

“You mean your own good, Diego. I have never been so disappointed in you. If I would have known this was the man you would have turned out to be, I would have NEVER married you and chosen you as a mate.” My mother spat out. “Now, you are going to give us an unlimited budget for a dress, shoes, veil, bouquet, and everything Thalia wants and you had better not complain even once!”

He narrowed his eyes at my mother, “As long as her ass walks down that aisle and says, ‘I do’ I don’t care how much you spend ” My father spat out. He pulls out his wallet and throws his credit card on the bed. “You can go tomorrow. Make sure you three are back before dark.”

He walked out of the room, slamming the door behind him. The sound made me jump slightly. I turned to my mother, “Come with us, ma, please.” I begged.

“No, mi hija. I will stay behind and help you get away from here. Tomorrow we will get all the things I said.” Mom said.

“I need to get to my warehouse, ma. I need supplies.” I told her.

“We do that the next day. First, make your father believe you are getting married and you are complying. He will relax and then we can go out again.” My mother said. ” After that, we will do some additional shopping for the effect. Don’t worry, Thalia, my daughters will be safe. When you leave, don’t turn back. Get you and your sister to safety.” She finished.

I hugged my mom, “I love you, ma. I’m so sorry you stayed in this marriage because of me. Your life could have been better if not for me.”

My mother pulled me back, “Don’t you ever say that again, Thalia. I stayed in this marriage to give my kids a stable home. I chose poorly. I married poorly. If I could go back, I would run far away from your father. That is my fault though. You have never been a regret or mistake in my life. The moment I held you, I knew I would give my life for you. I love you so much. I love all of my kids. Please don’t blame yourself for my life. My mistakes are mine, not yours. I love you, mi vida.” She finished.

Tears are rolling down my cheeks. I hugged my mother tighter and stayed like that for a while before breaking the hug and returning to my room. It dawns on me that everything and everyone I have ever known is here. This will be my last week here, and I won’t even be able to say a proper goodbye.

Like I have said before, not everyone gets a happy ending.
