Tina POV

I didn’t mean to overhear everything, but I did. She is wolfless and can’t give him an heir. Not only that, but it sounds like she is used goods either way and Aiden still marked her. He still mated with such a woman.

Meanwhile, I’m here. I am still untouched and I am healthy. I can give him what he needs and he is settling for a used up wolfless, no rank, damaged, she-wolf! I’m furious. I have been patient. I wasn’t trying to be one of those scheming women. I wanted to earn his affection, but this really pisses me off.

My rage is growing and I’m trying to calm down. I am waiting for my Tio to confirm his suspicions. Aiden is holding me in his lap, inhaling my scent to calm down and I am trying to find comfort in his arms.

Aiden wasn’t upset about the fact I can’t have pups. I know he said he understood, but part of me wishes I could give him a pup. Just one pup. I don’t even care if it costs me my life. It would be worth it, to know how happy he would be. Otherwise, I’m fine. I knew I couldn’t have pups. I wasn’t aware that Alphas like to have their heirs. I won’t lie; the first time I heard about that, I was concerned that Aiden wouldn’t want me when he found out. But he has been completely perfect. He’s always perfect.

After what seemed like forever, my Tio comes back in and the terror in his eyes is making the hair on my neck stand.

“Did the test reveal anything, Raul?” Aiden asked.

“Henbane. He gave her fucking henbane pills.” He snarled, “He wasn’t trying to suppress her wolf, he was trying to kill her completely. Thalia’s wolf is probably really injured because she probably absorbed it for Thalia.”

My eyes widened. “My father was trying to kill me?” I said in disbelief. I looked at Aiden who looks murderous. Tears are welling up in my eyes.

“Thalia, at this point, I don’t think it was about your wolf but it was about you.” My Tio said.

“Why does he hate me so much that he would want to kill me?” I looked to Aiden. Willing him to give me an answer to help me understand.

Very quietly and with deathly calm, he looks at me. “Thalia, I am going to kill your father. I don’t care if you think I’m a monster afterwards. He dies. No one hurts what’s mine. You are mine.” He said.

“Thalia, he’s my brother and even I agree with Aiden.” My Tio said.

“Before anyone kills him, I want him…no, I need him to tell me why. Why does he want his own daughter dead? Why does he hate me? What did I do wrong?”

“I will get you your answers, Thalia.” Aiden said before looking at my Tio. “Raul, how bad are we talking here? What treatment does she need?”

“I’m sorry, Aiden. This isn’t what I thought Diego gave Thalia. This is much worse. I don’t have an answer at the moment. I am going to start researching right away though.”

“Whatever you need, you got it. I don’t care about the expense.” Aiden said. “Just try to figure this out to help Thalia.’

I see his jaw clench and he looks at me. “I want to get your back to the pack house. Then I will let Leon out to run.” He said.

“Tio, I’m going to go. Let’s schedule the appointment for a full work up tomorrow.” I said as I take Aiden by the hand and start walking with him to the pack house.

As we are walking back, Tina comes walking up to us, furious. She must not be able to read the room. She is in danger and doesn’t even realize it. “This is the woman you chose over me, Aiden? A used-up woman with a broken womb that can’t even give you an heir?” She said, sneering at me.

Quicker than a flash of light, Aiden grabs Tina by the neck. “You will NOT disrespect your Luna and my mate. Who the fuck told you?” He snarled and pushed his aura on her.
