Thalia POV

“Thalia, when we part, stay by Aiden’s side.’ Nyx said.

‘Okay, why?’

‘Because even when you couldn’t sense me, I was still there. When we part, I am literally outside of you. This leaves you vulnerable. I am only doing this because if my blood can finish healing you, then it is worth it to try.”

‘Will it hurt when you separate from me?’ I asked

‘It will feel like I am being peeled off of you. I will step back in after everything is done. It will feel like you are trying to stuff a pillow case. Awkward and uncomfortable.’

We continue walking downstairs to the back of the pack house. We haven’t told everyone I can shift yet. It’s going to come with the Luna Ceremony, so we are trying to be discreet. Dr. Higslee followed Tio to the pack hospital to get the necessary supplies to draw the blood.

Aiden, Alpha Luca, Mia and I are standing at the back of the pack house. Mia is excited for me and distracted at the same time. So I start some light conversation.

“Alpha Luca, how long have you been Alpha of Crossfang?” I asked.

He smiled, “Two years now.”

Aiden pipes up, “The first five years tend to be the toughest. If you ever need anything or need someone to talk to, I’m happy to help. Especially since you are now mated to my mate’s sister.”

“Thank you Alpha and Luna.” He said.

“Please, you are mated to my sister. That makes you family. Please use our names; Aiden and Thalia.” I said.

Aiden looks at me and smiles. Clearly he likes that I took this initiative on his behalf.

‘I just remember how you treated my tio when he found out. I figure this is the proper thing to do.’

“Then please call me, Luca.” He said.

Mia’s eyes lit up. She’s happy. I want to talk more with her later, but I doubt I will get that chance. I smile at her and pull her in for a hug. In Spanish I tell her that she better keep in contact with me when she leaves here.

I saw Dr. Higslee and my tio walking back, so I made my answer quick. “Papa knew that I love you and was very protective of you, Mia. He would threaten to hurt you to get me to compl He was threatening me with hurting you, if I didn’t marry Armando. I knew he would hurt anyway after I left, that’s why I got you out too.”

I see unshed tears coming from Mia and very darkened eyes coming from Aiden and Luca. That’s when Dr. Higslee and Tio walked up with the medical bags in hand. “My. Did something happen?”

“No, Dr. Higslee. Thalia was just telling me exactly how terrible our father was to her. I am very sad and hurt that my sister sacrificed so much to protect me. It should have never happened.” Said Mia.

I shake it off, “Are we ready?” I said, changing the subject.

“Yes.” Tio said. “Alpha Luca, you will record. Mia, here is your notebook. Take notes. Your short hand is impressive.”

They both nodded and Aiden stood in front of me as I stripped down. I smile because he is so protective of me.
