I turn and see Canary and Sin running up to me.

“Yes, ladies?” I say.

“We’ve decided!” Canary said excitedly.

“Decided?” I asked with an eyebrow up.

“Yeah, the full moon coming up, will you please turn us?” Canary asked.

I noticed Sin is quiet.

“Is that what you want too, Sin?” I asked.

She sighed. “Yeah. The only thing I’m apprehensive about is the pain I’ll be in once we are turning. But, Dr. Moreno cleared us and said we are both healthy for the transition.”

“What’s your real name, anyway?” I asked.

She smiled, “I bet you think Sin is some kind of devilish nickname don’t you?”

“Well, it’s not. It’s short for Sinclair.” She said.

“I did not see that coming at all.” I chuckled. “So does that mean you are going to leave your code names behind and start using your actual names?”

Canary’s eyes lit up, “I hadn’t even thought about that. I will, if it’s required.” She said, “Hey, are we talking to your parents again? They are serious but fun.”

Her energy is infectious and polar opposite to Sins. Her energy is reserved. It’s interesting how these two dynamic work. I guess opposite’s really do attract.

“I don’t see why not. Maybe you should go talk to them. They are in the pack house right now. Mom wants to do another cookout for the warriors. It may also be a good time for you to talk about what kind of roles you will play in the pack I said. “My folks can give you some insight. Also, we need to talk to Aiden and Thalia about this as well. They need to be there for you to accept them as their Alpha and Luna. Then you would need to accept me, Jonah and Rory as your ranked members too.”

Canary rolls her eyes. “Yes. We know Mr. Rule follower.” She says. “Gosh, you and Sin are always following rules. You two should get together and make a rule following baby!” she laughed.

I see Sin’s cheeks burn and honestly, I have never had a woman make me blush in life either. “Kaia, do you not have any filters?”

I’m working with Dr. Higslee at the lab. We are immersed in figuring out the formula when Steve looks up.

“I’ve never seen anything like this, Raul.” He says to me. We are colleagues in the lab, so we are on a first name basis in here.

“What are you seeing?” I asked.

“Take a look.” He says as he pushes the microscope to me.

I look through the lenses and I’m astonished. “Impossible.”

“What?” Mia asked.

I turn to my niece and her mate. “What do you know about Methylene Blue?” I asked.

“It was lab created to help cure malaria.” Mia said, quite academically too.

“It also has healing benefits for wounds.” Luca added.

“Correct. However, Nyx’s blood isn’t just blood. It glows blue because her DNA is naturally creating Methylene Blue and the Chemiluminescence compound found in the blood is making it glow. This could be why water is a safe haven for Thalia. Subconsciously, Nyx was probably needing the microorganisms in the water to maintain her DNA, since she was trapped.”

“You mean, she is naturally producing Methylene Blue?” Mia said with her eyes wide.

“It should be impossible, but see for yourself.” I said and gestured for them to both take a look.

Mia looked at me, “But when papa hit Thalia and busted her mouth open in the past, she bled red. How is it, that Nyx has glowing blue blood?”

Steve, Luca and my eyes darkened at the example Mia just gave us. “Sobrina, I understand why you are using the example you are using, but understand, we are all upset by how Thalia was treated. I’m ashamed to call your father my brother.”
