Aiden POV

Last night, Thalia and I spent hours making love Things are finally settling in for us, like a normal couple. She isn’t holding back anymore with her thoughts or feelings. She is being completely open with me. Thank the Moon Goddess, too. I was starting to wonder if she would ever being able to face all her trauma and move forward. Now it seems as though she is and it makes me happy. Not for selfish reasons, but because I want my mate to be happy. She deserves it after everything she has been through

I feel her mind active and I know she will be waking up soon. I am sure she is anxious to talk to both Raul and Dr. Higslee. I want to know what else he has found in his research regarding Nyx. Everyone says she is extremely special, but no one actually tells me how she is special. Don’t get me wrong, being able to talk and separate from Thalia is pretty damn incredible, but I would like to know what more I can expect. This is all new to Thalia and if I can help her adjust, I will.

My little kitten stretches in her adorable way and looks at me with sleepy eyes and a smile.

“Good morning, mojito.” I said with a smile.

“Good morning, guapo.” She said.

“How are you feeling?”

“Limber.” She said and I laughed.

“Is that so?”

“Yes. I need a hot shower. Are you going to join me?” She smirked.

“The answer is always yes.” I said.

We make it to the shower, but I can’t help myself and I take her a couple of times before we actually clean up and then get dressed.

We are moving naturally in the closet getting dressed and it occurs to me that this is how our lives will be when everything is settled and it feels pretty damn great. I look forward to more of these kinds of days in the future.

“You heard me?”

“Yes. I hear all your thoughts actually.” She said.

I stopped. Usually, if her mind is open and she is thinking loudly, I can hear her thoughts. I wasn’t thinking loudly though. My thoughts were like talking in passing, not something anyone could really hear.

Thalia’s eyes widened. Then I ask her, “How about when we go downstairs, we test it out? See if it’s just me you can do that with or if it’s with anyone.”

She looks shaken, “Okay. Let’s try it.”

I take her by the hand, and we head to the dining hall. When we enter, Mia comes running up to Thalia and hugs her. That’s when Thalia sees that Mia has completed her mate bond with

“Hermana! I’m so happy for you! Congratulations!” She said and she has tears in her eyes.

Luca walks up and puts his arm around Mia. Thalia looks at me and nods. I guess that is her signal that she can hear others thoughts.

“I know you adore my sister already, Luca. I trust you to take care of her.” Thalia said.

Luca smiles widely, “I promise I will. I’m a man of my word and I respect the mate bond.”

Thalia hugs him and looks him in the eyes, “I know you love her already. That’s all I’ve ever wanted for her.”

I chime in, “Please, join us for breakfast. Invite Dr. Higslee and Raul too.”

“Tio and Dr. Higslee pulled an all-nighter to come up with the formula, Aiden. They are asleep. They should be around by no later than noon.” Mia said.

“An all-nighter?” I said, surprised, “Were they successful?”

“I’m not sure. Luca and I left at Dr. Higslee’s dismissal.” Mia said blushing.

With that, we all head to the table where my folks Isaiah, Rory, Jonah, and interestingly enough, Canary and Sin are sitting.

“Good morning, everyone.” I said. At once, everyone saw that Luca and Mia completed their bond and congratulations went out except for Canary and Sin that didn’t understand.

“I don’t get it. What are we celebrating?” Sin asked.

Thalia spoke up, “Alpha Luca and now my sister, Luna Mia are fated mates. They completed their mate bond last night.”

“What does that mean?” Canary asked.

“For werewolves, it’s like getting married. The Moon Goddess paired them together yesterday and they formalized the bond by mating and marking each other on the neck.” I said.
