Thalia POV

Navy, Amber and I go to the mall near the pack. We are shopping and getting clothes. Aiden gave me a black card with my name and told me to get whatever I wanted. I’m not used to having someone take care of me this way either.

Yes, I lived with my family, but I wasn’t given an allowance, spending money, or anything else. I earned it on my own. The only time my father let me spend money was for that sham of a wedding. The only way I got through it was by pretending that it was a real wedding, evening though I knew it was not going to happen.

This is different though. Aiden gave me something in my name and told me to go have fun. He said it’s mine and will never not be mine. I’m not someone who buys a lot after a lifetime of that habit. I know I was supposed to focus on a Luna Dress and all the accessories to go with it, but I saw a pup store and stopped.

I walked in and I felt tears falling down my cheeks.

“Sis, what’s wrong?” Navy asked.

I smiled, “I want to come in here. I never thought about coming into a store like this. I never thought I would get to dream about buying pup clothes and shoes and pup stuff. I want to buy something in here before we shop for me. Is that okay?” I asked trying to be respectful of their

time.

Navy and Amber smiled big, “Yes! Let’s pup shop too!” Navy said. Then Amber added, “We will shop for you dress once we are done here.”

I smiled widely and we went in. I started talking to Navy about pup needs. Clearly, there are a lot of things I don’t know about buying for pup things. After a little while I decided to buy two matching outfits for boys and for girls. I bought little booties, bibs and pacifiers too. I figured we needed an outfit for our pups to leave the hospital.

Afterwards, we went to a formal dress shop. We tried on several dresses, and I wasn’t satisfied with any of them. They just were not my style. We left the store and we left the mall. Navy suggests a formal store ten minutes away.

When we get there and I walk in, my eyes are immediately drawn to a white dress. It’s off the shoulder with a Spaniard style design. The body hugs and floats out to several ruffles that are lined with lace. The back laces up but exposes the back in a deep plunge, which now that I no longer have the scars, will compliment my figure

I went straight to the dress and Navy clapped. “Yes! This is so you! You have to try it on!”

Amber finds a pair of shoes and some other accessories to go with it and we put the outfit together. Once they saw me in it, Navy grabbed her phone and took a picture of me in it and sent it to Rebel.

“she wants to make sure she matches certain decorations to your look. Now let’s get back. We have just enough time to get ready.” Navy said.

We pay and leave. Once back home, Navy and Amber bat the men away and out of the bedroom. Normally, I would want Aiden with me. It’s usually just the two of us in the bedroom, but this time, I am happy to have Navy and Amber. I have bonded with them today and it’s nice to have more women to speak to now. I’ve been pretty much a loner for a long time. Until I came to Blackstone, I never hung out with other women. only worked alongside Canary and Sin.

I haven’t shown the baby stuff to Aiden yet. I will tonight after the ceremony. The smell of food, especially the pork shoulders on the smokes, is making my mouth water. I hear island music happening downstairs and I am itching to go have some fun.

After showering, buffing my skin, letting Navy and Amber pull at my hair to style it, pluck my eyebrows and put make up on me, I’m finally ready to get dressed, I’m finishing adding a flower above my left ear to show that I’m very much taken, when there is a knock on the door.

Navy opens it and Austin walks through. “You look beautiful, Thalia.” He says in his very thick southern accent.

I feel my cheeks warm. “Thank you, Austin.”

“I think we are past names. Just call me ‘Dad’.” He said.

“Alright, dad.” I said, smiling softly.

“I figure you might like to have someone walk you down.” He said with a smile.

“I would like that very much. Thank you.” I said, looping my arm, around the one he is offering me.

We walked down to the ceremony area and I saw Aiden. He is full on smiling at me and I think I see his eyes are a little wet and it melts my heart.

‘Stunning.’ He says in the mind link. ‘Stunning and mine. How lucky am I?’

‘I’m the lucky one, guapo.’

When Austin hands me to Aiden, I realize that this is better than any wedding because this is real. The people around us are our family. The pack members are our community. It’s weird and heady feeling accepted here. I notice Reid is on stage with us.

He begins the Ceremony and then when we both accept each other as mates and cut our palms to accept the bond. Once we completed our bond and felt its strength there was an additional surge felt throughout the entire pack.

We heard gasps from the pack and even from Austin, Rebel and Isaiah. I looked at Aiden and he smiled at me. “They feel it before they even accept you, mojito.”

“I don’t even know what that was.” I said.
