His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 364

Chapter 364

Mia POV

Aiden’s hand around Rodrigo’s neck is a satisfying sight. Rodrigo has always been a dick. He was always mean to Thalía, and he always treated me like I was beneath him. Now Thalia and I are both Luna’s and he is reduced to an interrogation room without a wolf because he was stupid enough to kill it off.

Thalia looks at Rodrigo, “Brother, sit down.”

“Fuck you.” He spat.

Aiden gets in his face, “Speak that way to my mate one more time and I will rip your fucking throat out, you piece of shit.”

I see Aiden’s eyes turn gold and so does Rodrigo. Now the smell of fear is radiating from him, and I think he is finally getting the message. Here, he has no pull whatsoever.

Rodrigo sits down, and I’m trying to gauge if there is any goodness in him at all, but I’m honestly not seeing it. Thalia pulls abuelo and Tio Valeno and introduces them to Rodrigo.

“Rodrigo, this is your grandfather Damaro and uncle Valeno. They are from mama’s side.” She

said.

“Ma is a wolfless omega without family or a pack, remember?” Rodrigo sneered. “These guys suckered you.”

“Ma is in the pack hospital.” I said. “Did you not know that papa, was beating her and starving her? She is the one who called them for help. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have known about their existence either, Rodrigo.”

“Papa was beating and starving ma? No way.” He said, refusing to believe us.

Then my abuelo grabs his hand and Rodrigo goes into a trance. What the hell? I’ve never seen that before. What is abuelo doing? When abuelo pulls his hand back, Rodrigo is looking at him in shock

“What was that?” Rodrigo asked.

“Memory recall. It’s a special gift I have. I can replay events and show them to you from how I saw everything. I can also pull your memories, and I did. I have to say, I’m disappointed at what I saw.” Abuelo said looking at Rodrigo with a bit of contempt. “You blame Thalia for losing your wolf?”

“Me? I have nothing to do with you losing your wolf, Rodrigo.” Thalia said surprised. “Is that why you hate me?”

Rodrigo sneered at her. “Yes. You were talking shit about me behind my back saying my wolf wasn’t strong because I wouldn’t be able to drink wolfsbane and survive it. So, I drank it to

prove you wrong. But my wolf died saving mat

What kind of sense does that make? No one forced that down his throat. He did that on file own and now he is blaming Thalia?

“Who told you I said that?” she asked.

“Papa. He said he went out with you for lunch, and you both were discussing my wolf. He was saying how proud of me he was and you didn’t care!” He yelled. “I remember you both went out and had lunch. I remember how you came back and your eyes were full of tears because he said he yelled at you to defend me!”

“Diego would take me out to molest me, I came home crying because of his brutality, Rodrigo. Diego abused me for years.” She said, “I was wolfless because Diego gave me henbane pills, trying to kill me at fifteen. My wolf absorbed everything and was suppressed because of it until recently, Diego and I didn’t do lunches, herbano. He hates me. I’ve never understood why, but he hates me,”

“That’s not my problem.” He said.

“It is, because he lied to you. He told you I said those terrible things about you getting a wolf. But I didn’t. On the Moon Goddess, I swear it, brother. But it begs the question, who actually said or thought those things about you? Because can promise you, it wasn’t me.” Thalia said.

I’m looking at this entire situation and realizing just how bad Thalia’s life has been. She endured abuse in so many forms, and our own father slandered her. I wonder how many other things he slandered her about. “Hermana, if he dared to slander you about this, what else has he slandered you about?”

“Mia, he said I invited those men into my bed when I was fourteen. That the reason we were packless was because of my shame. Even Don Arnaldo believed that bullshit. I have been the scape goat for most of my life thanks to Diego. It doesn’t surprise me that he lied to Rodrigo about me saying his wolf wasn’t a big deal.” She said sadly.

I look at Rodrigo. “Do you hate me as well, Rodrigo? Do you think me a liar?”

Rodrigo looked at me, “No.” he said simply.

“Diego didn’t want me going to medical school. He said he wanted me to work in the mailroom for the family business until he could marry me off for the benefit of the family. That’s why Thalia got me out of that house. It’s also why I willingly left.” I said.

“Impossible.” He said. “Papa said he had a fund ready for you to go to school.”

“Just me? Isn’t that convenient? What about your fund? Aren’t you supposed to take over the family business? Why wouldn’t he put you through school for business or something Rodrigo? You are the heir, but he isn’t investing in you? He isn’t pressing you to get a degree, get married, start taking over responsibilities little by little so you can lead the family. But he had a fund for me? Do you not see the inconsistencies?” I said.

I see the realization in Rodrigo’s eyes, and he is suddenly starting to connect the dots is looking over at me gratefully. She would never have been able to get through to R was completely biased against her. We want to see if he is redeemable and I’m hopil words give him some sort of breakthrough.

“I need to speak to papa.” Rodrigo said.

Aiden speaks up, “I’m afraid that won’t be possible, Rodrigo. He is currently in phase one of his punishment.”

“Phase one?” He asked.

“Diego is getting a taste of what I went through because of him all those years ago, Rodrigo.” Thalia said.
