His Plump Mate (by Buchanan) novel Chapter 373

Chapter 373

Aiden POV

‘Isaiah, get another three hundred thousand ready for the rogues tomorrow.’ I said via the mind link.

“They are leaving with almost a million?’

‘Best million I’ve ever spent. Diego did everything he did to Thalia because he thinks she isn’t his daughter. He looks at her like the products of Blanca’s betrayal.’ I said.

‘Is it true?’ Isaiah asked.

“Thalia wants it to be true. She doesn’t want to be related to Diego and I can’t blame her. Diego said that Raul is really her father. A claim that Raul vehemently denies. He said he never crossed those lines with Blanca,’

‘What kind of messed up family drama is this shit? Bro, I’m glad we didn’t grow up like that.’

‘No kidding. Plus, dad couldn’t deny us in public if he tried. One, Cronos wouldn’t have allowed it. Two, we look like both our parents and three -‘

‘Mom would have whooped his ass.’ Isaiah interrupted and I couldn’t help but laugh.

‘Exactly.’

‘I’ll get the money ready. Also, don’t forget, I need to go over with you how the process works for turning Kaia and Sinclair.’

‘Let’s work on it tomorrow evening.’ We said a couple of other things to each other and then we closed the link.

Thalia is looking at me with a smirk, “I love the relationship you have with your family.”

I pull Thalia into my arms, “They are your family now too, mojito.”

“I know. I’m lucky to have them.” She said and I heard a hint of sadness in her voice. Clearly, she is upset about Diego. I don’t blame her.

“Are you okay?”

“Nothing should surprise me with Diego, but honestly, I didn’t expect this to be the reason why he hated me so much. What if what he is saying is true?”

“Your father is a manipulator and liar. I wouldn’t believe anything he says. His decision to think you are not his daughter is not founded on any proof. He decided you weren’t his and there was no basis. Let’s see what the DNA test shows.”

“I want to talk to my mother too. Come with me?

“Always.” I said as I kissed her and went towards the pack house with her hand in mir

As we enter, I see Mia and Blanca coming down the stairs. Mia is helping her mother very weak, so she is moving slowly.

“Ma? Why aren’t you resting?” Thalia said, running over to her mother.

“I’ve been resting. I wanted to come down to the dining hall and eat with you and Mia.” She said. “How did things go with your father?”

“He says he isn’t Thalia’s father.” I said, ripping the band aid off of this conversation.

Blanca looks at me and then at Thalia. “That’s what he told you?”

Thalia nodded. “He said you cheated on him with Tio Raul and I’m actually his daughter.”

“Wait. He thinks I cheated on him with his own brother? This is why he treated you so terribly?”

“Tio Raul is going to have Dr. Higslee run the DNA test. But is it true, ma? Am I, someone else’s daughter?”

“No.” Blanca said quickly. “You are Diego’s daughter. I never cheated on your father.”

Blanca is looking down and she has some sort of realization. “Now it makes sense.” She said. “ That bastard.”

“What, mama?” I asked her.

She sighs, “Come. Let’s sit and eat. I need my energy.” She said as she slowly walked to the dining hall and sat down.

After food is served, Blanca puts her hands together and rests her chin on them. She closes her eyes and when she opens them, her eyes look utterly desolate.

“Your father treated me well until right after we got married. Right after I found out I was pregnant, he started becoming distant with me. He never said why. I thought he was nervous about becoming a father, so I didn’t press him.” She started. “After you were born, he became more distant. He started drinking and going to other women, sleeping with them and hardly coming home. Then one night, he came home drunk. He forced himself on me that night. After that incident, he saw what he had done to me and he softened. He changed and for a while, we were good again. When I found out I was pregnant with Rodrigo, he was happy and then again when I was pregnant with your sister. But he always held you at arm’s length, and when we would argue about it, he would say I knew what I had done.”

Thalia is looking at her mom with sympathy. Diego is really warped in the head. He had no proof to claim she cheated or that Thalia wasn’t his daughter and yet he truly believed it.

“Ma, why didn’t you just leave him?”
