Chapter 465
Julian POV
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!” I screamed.
“Alpha Julian, they have a powerful wolf. All black. Completely black. I mean, even the teeth were black. She easily ripped off heads, throats, and limbs. She was a one wolf massacre, and she could talk. Rodrigo was also there.”
“Rodrigo is there?”
“Yeah. But he came with Alpha Aiden and Luna Thalia. He doesn’t live in Crossfang from the looks of things.”
“See if you can bring me, Rodrigo. Try not to fail me this time.”
“We will do our best, Alpha. That black maw is deadly,” my partner said.
“I don’t want excuses. I want results. I pay you enough. You are supposed to be intellectually above tier to everyone else. So use that lump three feet above your ass called a brain and get me results!” I snarled before hanging up.
The black shadow maw. It has to be the one from the prophecy. Mia must be very powerful. I can’t wait to have her here. I’m going to bind her to me. I don’t care about her mate. I will have him killed when he comes looking for her. That should be simple enough. He is a regular wolf. He would be no match for any of my warriors.
Plus, the added bonus of getting Rodrigo will help me tremendously. Getting him is another piece in the puzzle I need to figure out before I take over the werewolf world. Later, I will move to the human world. That will be easy. Everything is timing, and I’m hoping this will work in my favor now.

Conrad POV
“ARGH!” I yelled, flipping over the coffee table. Sinclair is once again blocking all my numbers. I’m trying to get her back here. I want to know how she is getting all this tech, and I want her to let me use it, so I can reap some of the benefits. I want to know who is supporting her. I also want to get her on her back.
“Dad! What is all this mess?” Candy said, walking into the living room.
“Frustration,” I replied.
She shook her head, “Still obsessing over Sinner?”
I give her a flat look, “It’s not an obsession. I want her tech. I want to know who her backer is and use that information to gain benefits for us. If I get her on her back, even better.”
“Gross. She is a nobody. Why waste your time?” She asked.
“She might be a nobody, but she is a nobody living better than we are, and I want to tap into her resources,” I replied.
“If that’s the case, lie and say you found her birth parents or something,” she said, without realizing that she just gave me the perfect idea.
“This is why you are my daughter,” I said with a sinister smile. “You gave me the right idea. I will do just that and have her come running to meet with me.”
I opened another number and sent a simple message.
1/3
25 Bawuje
[Conrad: If you don’t want to know where your mom is, fine. Continue looking on your own. Or you could save the time and meet with me.]
I set the phone aside and waited. Sure enough, there is a ping. I see it’s from Sinner, and I read the message with a sly grin.
[Sinner: Do you think I believe you? You’re full of shit, and I know this is a lie. Stop making yourself look fucking stupid. I’m sure either Candy or Chad suggested this idea to you. It’s amateur at best.)
I smiled.
[Conrad: Suit yourself. Your mother was hoping to meet with you.]
[Sinner: I’ll find her myself.]
I tried to message her again, and she blocked my number again. Still, she responded. That means she hesitated. If there is even a seed of doubt, she will reach out again. I’m going to stop messaging her for a few days and see if she comes back to me. Then I will set the terms.

Tina POV
Heath slams my bedroom door open. I jumped up, startled.
“What the hell, Heath?!”
“Did you know about Shadow Maws?!” He yelled.
“What?” I looked at him, genuinely confused. “What is a Shadow Maw?”
He grabbed me by the back of my neck with one hand and squeezed my jaw with the other.
“You came from Blackstone. You saw everyone shift, correct? Did you know they had a Shadow Maw? Don’t lie to me!” He snarled.
“I don’t know what that is!” I said, gritting my teeth through the pain of his grip. “Alpha command me, if you think I’m lying, Heath!”
He threw me on the ground and paced. “I lost partners today because of one fucking shadow maw.”
I rubbed my neck and looked up at Heath with tears stinging my eyes. “Heath, what is a shadow maw?”
He looked at me, his body towering over me. “It’s a wolf that is much larger than ours. It doesn’t look like ours either. I went through our database looking for information until I found out what they were. Thalia is a shadow
maw.”
“I see. What is so special about a shadow maw?”
“They are stronger than regular wolves. Aside from chopping off their heads or injecting them with silver, they can sustain any injuries. There was a second one there, but Thalia’s wolf is stronger, bigger, more blood thirsty.”
