Chapter 474

Kaia POV

I think I broke my mate. He is staring at me with his mouth open. Everyone is waiting for his reaction, but I can see Rory and Nala fidgeting with excitement. Austin and Rebel are waiting to see Isaiah’s reaction, and I’m starting to get nervous. He’s been dropping subtle and not-so-subtle hints. I haven’t said or done anything to prevent myself from getting pregnant, and I know it will be quicker. Right now, though, he isn’t reacting.

“Stickler?”

His eyes blinked, and then a smile spread across his face. The wider the smile, the more it reached his eyes, and then out of nowhere, he scooped me up and started swinging me around, yipping and laughing.

He put me down and kissed me passionately in front of everyone. When he let go, he grabbed my face lovingly, “Are you sure?”

I nodded shyly. “I took a test. It came back positive.”

Everyone around us starts congratulating us, and Thalia hugs me hard. “We are going to have our pups around the same time. They are cousins and will grow up together! I’m so happy and excited!”

I smiled widely, “Me too! So much happened today. Can you believe it?”

Thalia circles her arms around mine, and then we start walking towards the dining hall. “Let’s talk about it over dinner. We need to eat.”

I laughed, and Aiden and Isaiah are looking at both of us with a smirk. I looked at Thalia, “Shouldn’t we tell the guys to join us?”

Thalia chuckled, “Do you think they won’t follow us?”

I laughed, “I feel better knowing that I have another person going through a pregnancy with me. I’m still new to this entire werewolf thing.”

“Maybe you can convince Sinclair to become a warrior, be in the know, and maybe even take her as your

beta.”

I looked at Thalia and asked, “Don’t you need a beta now?”

She smiled, “Yes, but I know you two are closer to each other than you are to me.”

“I just don’t think she wants that responsibility. Maybe after she finds her parents,” I said.

“Let’s talk to her about it tomorrow, Luna Kaia.”

I laughed, “I still wasn’t used to the Beta title, and I have already upgraded.”

“You’ve never been one to do things halfway, Kaia,” Thalia said.

“You’re right about that, sis,” I heard behind me, and then felt arms wrap around my waist.

Aiden does the same with Thalia, and everyone else is behind us as we lead everyone into the dining hall. We are all served dinner and talking about what happened at Ironclaw.

Aiden kept praising me, which I didn’t expect. “You will make an excellent Luna, Kaia. What you did today was the best mind fuck I have seen in a while. You broke that pompous ass and didn’t even break a

sweat.”

Isaiah laughed, “Luna Trouble, that’s her name, henceforth.”

Thalia made the comment, “I want to thank you, too, Kaia. You lawn darted Paul to the ground when he

went to attack Aiden. It was a complete badass move.”

“Yes, but she shouldn’t do those things now, knowing she is carrying my pup,” Isaiah said, looking at me seriously. Oh, boy, I know we are talking about this tonight.

Sinclair walked into the dining hall, and I jumped up and hugged her. “What’s going on?”

“Isaiah is the new Alpha of Ironclaw!” I said cheerfully.

“Alpha? Wait, so you are the Luna then, right?”

“Yeah, and guess what?! I’m pregnant too!”

Sinclair’s jaw dropped open, “No way! You’re pregnant? I’m going to be an auntie?”

“Yes! So I expect you to come spoil your niece and nephews whenever you want!”

Sinclair smiles widely and hugs me tightly. “I’m so happy for you. Everything is falling into place for you, Kaia. You really deserve to be happy.”

I hugged her again, “So do you, Sinclair. You deserve it more than anyone here. Come on and join us.”

As soon as Sinclair sits down, we all start laughing and carrying on. Sinclair, in a rare moment, joins in on the conversation. She is happy I am happy. I want her happiness, too. I intend to talk to Isaiah about offering her the beta role. I don’t know the rules about the hierarchy, but I want to ask him about it when

we are alone.

I look around the table, and my heart is warm with love. I went from having no one to having a table full of family and carrying my own pup. What a difference a few months can make.

Rory asked out loud, “So now that Blackstone and Ironclaw are going to merge, what happens next?”

Everyone went quiet. Thalia was the first to answer, though, “Great question. The quick answer is: I have no idea. I guess we will need to wait for the Moon Goddess to tell us what’s next.”

I looked at Isaiah, and he raised an eyebrow at me. Yeah, this merger was needed because of the upcoming war. The weight of that thought made my shoulders feel heavy. What kind of responsibility am I going to face with Isaiah, now that we are at the head of that pack? Why was this so important?
