Chapter 52
Renz sees me and has a wide grin. “Luna, come to spar?”
“Here to put you through your paces Beta.” I say, smiling at him.

I feel him before I see him. I turn to where my mate is, “Babe?” I say, raising an eyebrow.
“Thought I would come and see you kick my beta’s ass my Luna.” He says as he wraps his arm around my waist and brings me in for a very deep and pleasurable kiss.
When he’s pulling away from the kiss, I growl softly at him and he chuckles. “Later darling.” He promises.
I turn back around and look at Renz, “You ready?”
“If I say no, will you go easy on me?” He grins.
I shake my head, “Not even a little. But do you want to train in human or wolf form?”
“I’ve seen you in wolf form fighting. I’d like to see you in human form this time.” Renz says and Austin agrees.
“Very well.” I take a very lazy stance. I never like to show my opponent how I will start my offense or defense. Luckily, for me, I see Renz stance is offensive. He really wants to see my skill set.
‘Let’s indulge him Rebs,‘ Roxie says to me.
‘I’m not going easy on him Roxie. I don’t want anyone taking it easy on me. We are fighters after all.‘ I say to her.
Austin decides to observe and calls for the match to begin. Other warriors stop what they are doing and start watching Renz and me spar. I stay focused on defense while watching Renz and his foot placement, hip rotations, and body language. He has some vulnerabilities. I switch my position to offensive and start fighting back. He leaves an opening in his leg placement, which I exploit, swiping his left leg and throwing him face first into the ground. He is quick to push his hands out and flip over, which I take the opportunity to grab his waist and duplex him before he can reposition himself.
I can sense Renz frustrations and I tell him, “Renz, don’t get emotional, guard your left leg and stop leaving it open for me to exploit. I will take you down every, single, time.”
He stops and stands up straight. “Show me what you mean Luna.”
Both Austin and Renz look at me curiously. I’m not sure why, but I go on to demonstrate what he is doing wrong. Then I show him how a tiny adjustment will strengthen his position and leave him less vulnerable to his
opponent.
“You favor your left leg. It’s subtle but it’s there. I’m guessing you have a previous injury, correct?” I ask.
“My wolf healed me years ago. I haven’t had trouble with it since.” Renz said.
“I’m sure he did, however, you didn’t take it easy afterwards. It caused the tiniest of imbalances and that’s why it’s easy to exploit your weakness Beta.” I reply.
“You can see the past injuries of your opponent darling?” Austin looks at me still very curious at my assessment
of Renz.

“If you know what to look for, then yes. My father was meticulous about observing every movement of your opponent. I picked up on it at a very young age and he drilled it into me. I guess he knew he was going to leave me to fend for myself.” I said.
“You think you can pick up on mine little mate?” Austin challenges me.
