Isaiah POV
Watching Kaia work in the capacity of CEO is hot. She completely dominated that boardroom. She dominated IT when they tried to talk technical, thinking she wouldn’t understand. She dominated when HR tried to give her bogus information about labor laws. She just dominated.
She literally told everyone to fuck off in such a way that they are now looking forward to the trip and have packed their bags. It was a brilliant thing to watch. It made my desire for her grow with each passing second. I made sure she felt it in our bond, too. At one point, I could smell her arousal and see her cheeks flush.
Yeah…we are having fun tonight. It’s even more fun because she is carrying our son. I love seeing her stomach swollen. I love applying massage oil to her. I love feeling our pup kick, knowing I filled her with our son. It does a lot of things to me.
Now, I have another thing about her that I just love. Her assertiveness. Her boss mode. She is a damn fine Luna and a bit of a scary CEO. Call me crazy or sick…I don’t care, but I love seeing her take charge during the day and then surrender to me at night in bed. One definitely amplifies the other.
Now it is quitting time. We have our logins, our access, fobs, and laptops. All rushed and brought to us fifteen minutes before it was time to go.
Kaia is wrapping up a meeting with HR to ensure the employee index is up to date and complete before we go. She also scheduled a meeting with Cassidy for the morning to go over Paul's unresolved tasks.
“Are you ready? You barely ate your lunch today. We need to feed our son,” I said.
“Yes, he wants steak tacos, a root beer float, and ginger snaps,” she said, smiling.
“Not the worst craving you’ve had. I still can’t get the image of mashed potatoes mixed with anchovies out of my mind. It burned my eyes.”
“Whatever our son wants, he gets. Plus, you never say no to a pregnant woman’s food cravings, Isaiah. I thought we established this already.”
“Did I say no trouble?”
“Self-preservation is a hell of a motivator for you, isn’t it, stickler?” she giggled.
I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her. “I love you, trouble. Let’s go get our food. Eat out or back at the house?”
“House. I want to get out of these clothes and get my sweats back on,” she said. “Plus, I want to see what Sinclair has found.”
I take her by the hand, and then we leave to get food and then to rest at the house. When we get there, Sinclair is eating pizza and typing on her laptop. There is a pen in her hair, and the glasses she has on are halfway down her nose. There are three laptops in front of her, and she is switching among them.
“Girlie! You look like a mad scientist typing out a thesis. What are you up to?” Kaia asked, putting down her food.
“I’m running the diagnostics and looking for tech anomalies at Black Enterprises on this laptop. Then on this laptop,” she says, pointing at the second one, “I’m digging into Misty Whitaker.”
“And the third?” I asked.
Her eyes dim a little. “Ronan.”
