Julian POV

I have useless people working for me. I’m waiting for Sinclair to be brought to me, and still, no one has eyes on her. When they do have eyes on her, she isn’t alone. I could take her regardless, but I want her by herself.If what Conrad said was true, no one will even notice she is gone when the time comes. By the time they realize she is missing, she will already be here with me. I will not let her go once she is here.

“Where is she?” I asked.

“Still at Blackstone; however, there has been a development, Alpha,” my beta said.

“Speak.”

“She is now mated.”

“To whom?” I asked, feeling my anger rise.

“Adrian Willis. Also, there is one other thing, Alpha.”

Adrian Willis? Why does the Willis family have to be at the center of my plans, screwing them up as they go?

“What else?”

“We’ve noted that Ronan is working with Ms. Cross’s foster sister, Candy Cross. She has even infiltrated the pack. We are not sure what she did while she was there, but she got in and out and was undetected.”

“Ronan is training her as a hunter,” I said to myself with a new realization. “He is trying to eliminate Sinclair. That cannot happen. Neutralize the sister.”

“Sir, couldn’t we use this to our benefit?”

“What are you thinking, beta?”

“If she can lure out Ms. Cross, then we can intercept. After Ms. Cross is in our possession, we eliminate the sister. By the time she is discovered, the pack will think that Ms. Cross was intercepted by Ronan, and they will not look in our direction.”

“This is why you are my beta,” I said with a wicked smile.

“Keep tabs on Ronan and the sister. Do it quietly. Make sure you are not detected.”

“Yes, sir.”

He turned and left. I sat back in my chair. I finally secured the packages I needed. It took longer than the original plan. Once I get Sinclair here, I will convince her to stay and help me.

I wore out my mate. After I had dinner brought up and we ate, I couldn’t explain it, but I wanted Sinclair again. It’s not a normal attraction. This is rooted in something much deeper. I felt like I was trying to reach her soul with every thrust, and still demanded more.
