His plump mate (Rebel and Austin) by Buchanan novel Chapter 610

Adrian POV

When Sinclair did the blood pact and then passed out, I felt fear all over again. This woman is taking years from my life every time something like this happens. It was two days before she woke up.

When she finally did, the tension and air I had in my body finally released. She surprised me, though. The first thing she did was tell me she loves me and wrapped her arms around me. For a moment I didn’t know how to react, because for the first time since we have been mated, she sounded confident in her words. She finally acknowledged the certainty of what I already knew to be true.

I couldn’t help tightening our embrace, and I was overjoyed when she kissed me and pushed love into our bond. Her acceptance and her feelings were on full display in that moment, and I couldn’t have been happier.

Then she told me she saw Amber and gave me her message. There was no malice, jealousy, insecurity, or anything that would suggest that she was still questioning my love for her. She was at peace, and her eyes shone with love.

It was almost too much to bear. Almost. Then she said she wanted to talk to the group and didn’t want any interruptions after. I’m not ashamed to say I definitely want it to be a quick meeting. I want…No, I NEED to bury myself in my mate. She is an alpha now. She is healed. She has her gift, though she hasn’t said what it is yet. There is nothing except this meeting holding us back from…reconnecting.

I mind-linked Aiden and told him Sinclair is awake and wants to meet with everyone. He said to give him ten minutes and meet in his office.

“Ten minutes, babe,” I said, kissing her. “Do you want to go freshen up first?”

She smiled. “Yes. I’ll be right back.”

She went into the closet, came back out, and was holding the purple set. Hell, yeah. She slipped into the bathroom, and I heard the shower turn on. She was super quick, but when she came out, she was fully dressed, and that purple set was hiding underneath her clothes, and now I’m suddenly anxious to unwrap her like a Christmas gift.

She smirked and raised an eyebrow at me. “Ready?”

I growled playfully, but not untruthfully. “You have no idea.”

She laughed. “This conversation needs to happen first.”

“I’m having meals brought to us for the next couple of days. Just so you know, I don’t intend for us to leave this room for a while when we get back.”

She bit her bottom lip, and her eyes darkened. I don’t know what happened in the Moon Goddess’s realm while she was out, but I thank the Moon Goddess for her divine intervention.

I hold my hand out. “Let’s go.”

We make our way to Aiden’s office, and when we walk in, everyone is there. They all smiled widely, and I could see the relief in their eyes, too.

Thalia and Kaia ran up to Sinclair. “GROUP HUG!” Kaia said loud and proud.

Everyone chuckled, but we all gathered around Sinclair and hugged her tightly. She smiled brightly. Her eyes were glistening with unshed tears, but I am certain those are happy tears.
