Sinclair’s eyes look murderous. Yeah, she is definitely giving Alpha energy. Candy is getting her throat ripped out.

I’m crushing Ronan’s heart, so I understand what Sinclair is feeling. Betrayal comes in different forms, and Candy has given her years of betrayal. That might not be accurate. Betrayal means that at one point, there was a level of trust and understanding. I don’t think that ever existed between those two.

Either way, I know my little sin is deadly. She doesn’t hesitate and doesn’t doubt her decision. If someone is evil, she eliminates that person. I’m just glad she never thought of me that way.

‘We are mates. She wouldn’t think that way of us,’ Thor said confidently.

‘Agreed, buddy. Is Mali saying anything to you? Are you two good?’

‘We are fantastic. You need to let us out to run!’

‘You know we can’t do that with Sin being pregnant.’

He huffed. ‘I know. I just want to see my mate. I bet she looks beautiful with all her Alpha energy now.’

He is right. Mali being an Alpha may mean she has changed, too. I need to talk to Sinclair about it, but right now, she is working on her laptop trying to locate Ronan and Candy. She is squinting her eyes and biting that bottom lip, and it’s doing things to me.

“Sin,” I called out to her.

“Hmm?” she responded without moving her eyes from the screen.

“If you don’t stop biting that bottom lip, I’m going to take you to my office. Believe me when I say, it will be totally worth you getting upset over it.”

She just hummed at me again, clearly not listening. I swear, watching her in work mode is sexy as fuck. She doesn’t even know she is being sexy.

I get up and come behind her, putting my hands on her shoulders. I start giving her a massage, and that breaks her concentration. She tilts her head back, and her eyes close as she groaned in pleasure. I chuckled.

“Have I been wearing out my mate?”

She smirked, but her eyes were still closed. “Yes. Your hands feel so good right now, though.”

“What has you so concentrated?”

“I just saw how to fix the tool. I’m adjusting the configuration for the glove. Kaia told me she was having a problem getting it to fit and work correctly.”

“You saw?”

“Yeah. This gift is pretty cool. I see everything technical like a schematic now. Parts of it are glaring red, and that is what needs my attention.”

I sat down beside her and looked at the screen. “So you are looking at the device, and it doesn’t look like a glove?”

“No. It looks like a blueprint of the final product,” she said, typing away. She hit save and then sent it as an encrypted email to Kaia. “Let me call her real quick.”

She dials her number and when the phone answers, she immediately gets into a comfortable rhythm of conversation with Kaia.

“Yeah. So we added one too many resistors. Review the changes I made. Let me know if you have questions.”

She listens on the other end and speaks again. “No, that device is too small. The will overflow can be dangerous if you do that. Trust me.”

“I know it doesn’t make sense, Kaia, but I promise you that is the solution.”

“Let me know if you need my help. I plan to be there next week. Poppy is due any day now. I want to meet my niece or nephew.”
