His plump mate (Rebel and Austin) by Buchanan novel Chapter 645

Kaia POV

Isaiah and I received a call from Aiden saying that Sinclair has left for Julian's. I'm nervous for her. I already know she needs backup. Aiden assures me he and Adrian already sent backup before Sinclair left, without her knowing, and then they have backup following two hours out from her current location.

That put me at ease some, but not for Aric. He is worried out of his mind.

"She just gave birth, Kaia," Aric said as he paced Isaiah's office. "She isn't at full strength yet. What the hell was Adrian thinking? He just let her go? It's barely been a month!"

I took a deep breath. "Aric, your sister isn't omega-ranked anymore. She is alpha-ranked. You know better than anyone that means her rate of healing is much faster than a normal she-wolf. Raul cleared her to go."

"Then he's nuts, too!" he said loudly.

Isaiah shook his head. "Aric, you realize we are talking about Sin, right? Not Iris. Sin isn't some damsel in distress. She IS the distress. She also isn't alone. No one is going to let her come into harm's way."

"As she walks into Julian's pack!" he said, cutting off Isaiah.

Isaiah growled low, so sexy. "Aric, enough. Adrian and Sin discussed this thoroughly. He is just as worried, but you can't stop women like Sin, Kaia, or Thalia. They are built different."

I smiled at Isaiah. There was a time that he would try to get me to do what he said, and now he knows better.

"Isaiah is right, Aric. The three of us grew up harshly. We have gone through a lot. We don't let ourselves become defeated."

Aric sighed. We can see him calming down. "I don't want to lose another sister."

"You're not going to, Aric. Sinclair knows what she is doing. I tell you what, I will have feelers sent to keep an eye on things and report back to us. I will let Aiden know, too."

He sighed and nodded. "Fine. Updates every day, though."

I smiled. "I'm glad Sinclair has you for a brother."

My phone chimed with an alert. The sensors Sinclair had tampered with months ago to see whose signature it was went off. It showed the person leaving the pack grounds.

I showed it to Isaiah. He growled. "Aric, the mole is spotted. Time to take care of business."

The three of us went outside. Isaiah opened the pack link to the warriors. 'Who left from the north gate just now?'

'Gene, Alpha.'

He growled. 'Son of a bitch. Detain him!'

"Gene? He's our mole? He saved Sinclair; that doesn't make sense."
