Julian POV
Sinclair has truly no trust left in people. That’s okay. I will earn it. She could be an ally and bed warmer. I wouldn’t mind either way.
She has a shrewd business mindset, though. She is here to work, collect her money, and leave. She doesn’t seem interested in staying with my pack or any pack.
“If you stayed, I could offer you a secure position, and as soon as I have my funds back, I could offer unlimited resources.”
“Blackstone offered me the same. I won’t be foolish enough to believe in packs again. I prefer being a loner anyway. Less drama tagging behind me,” she said.
“How about you take the time to evaluate my pack while you are here? If by the end of your job, you still don’t want to join the pack, then you still have the option of leaving.”
She tilted her head. She is gorgeous. She is also different. Everyone said she was an omega, but she is giving alpha energy. If that is the case, then I definitely want to keep her on my side. I could use a strong female by my side.
“I want that in writing. The total cost of getting your money back is five hundred thousand. If you want me to find a loophole, that’s another five hundred thousand, whether I am able to locate one or not. Room, board, and pack protection during my contract. After that, I’m free to go,” she said.
“I want to add a clause that you will not leave with any proprietary information about the pack. If you change your mind about joining my pack, then I will triple the offer once funds are received,” I said. If she wants cash, I can offer it as soon as she gets it back to me.
“If you fail to pay me, then I will go to the next highest bidder, Julian.”
“For the five-hundred or the triple offer?” I asked with a smirk.
“I have no interest in joining your pack. I want to do the job and leave. You can add the clause, but I want it stated clearly that I am free to leave if I decide not to stay in your pack. I will, however, consider your pack. I just won’t commit at this time.”
I smiled. “That’s all I’m asking for, Sinclair. Give me a fair shot. If you like the pack, then I welcome you. If not, then you can leave. I’m sure you will find us more than adequate.”
“Hmm,” she hummed. “I am going to grab my bags. Where will I be staying?”
