“What?!” I said loudly.

“Just as you heard, Julian wants Blackstone out of the way so he can get to Mia. He said she is the key,” Adrian said.

“Sinclair told you this?”

“Yeah, during our afternoon conversation. She said they have the tool schematics from before it was changed to a glove. She is ‘fixing’ it for them. She also said that the other tech lead, some guy named Angelo, is the one who covered Sinclair closing Julian’s account with a fictional person named ‘Condor’,” Adrian said.

Aiden is laughing. “Julian still hasn’t figured out that you’re the chosen one, Mojito. That works to our advantage.”

“Does it? He is still after my sister, Aiden.”

“Yeah, but that gives us an edge.”

“I want the focus off her, Aiden,” I said, and then I told Adrian, “Tell Sinclair to tell Julian that I am the chosen one.”

“What?! No!” Aiden said.

“Yes. We are ready. We have the gloves, the stones, the traps; everything is ready. Reid will be here in a month to have his warriors train with us. Isaiah finally completed the blood pact with the warriors. They are training. Rodrigo is safe with us. Now is the time to go on the offensive.”

“Then we wait until Reid is here and his warriors are training with us. We need them to accept us as co-alpha and co-Luna so we can communicate with everyone. Don’t pull the trigger yet. We are still three months out. The war is coming to us regardless.”

My shoulders are shaking. I am angry, nervous, emotional, and Adrian is right; I’m not thinking clearly.

“I need to run this off,” I said, leaving the pack house and shifting. Nyx is angry too. She is running at full speed. We head towards the lake. Every time we need to let out our emotions, we come here. She understands my need for the water. That never changed.
