Sinclair POV
Joy. That’s the only word I can use to describe how I feel right now. Jonah and Lacey are back. The passageways make sense now.
The only upsetting part is that this process takes time to happen. We need more potions; we need mates to come back and help our warriors. We won’t be able to save everyone. The twenty-four-hour window is closing.
Raul is quickly making more portions, as he grabbed more samples from the passageway before leaving, but even that takes time. We are prioritizing those who have their mates here in the pack, and with pups. If we can get them within that twenty-four-hour window, then we can save some of our pack members. It’s a very tight window. It’s also close to ground zero of this war.
I pulled the tunnel maps and showed Raul where they all are. We are going to try and keep it as concealed as possible. Something like this, if it got into the wrong hands, could be very problematic.
Exhaustion doesn’t begin to cover how my body feels right now. Adrian is feeling the same way. He was injured pretty badly, but Raul got him treated quickly. We just need rest.
Thalia said another wave is coming, and this time, with rogues. Those bastards fight dirty. I asked Thalia why we didn’t use the gloves, and she said it was because she wants to cut everyone off, starting at the source. The source is Julian. She explained it to me, and I understood why she didn’t use the gloves. We are all wearing them. We are just waiting for her to give the signal.
“What are you thinking about, Little Sin?” Adrian asked as he wrapped his hands around me from behind.
I sighed and leaned back into him. “I am thinking that I need a very long vacation after this war is over.”
He smiled into my neck. “Maybe at a log cabin in the mountains?”
“I’ve always wanted to go to the mountains.”
“Then I’ll take you. Once we are back, we will start building Blackclaw.”
I smiled. “Okay, my alpha.”
“Teasing me is going to land on the list, Little Sin.”
“I rather like those lists,” I giggled, turning around in his arms to kiss my mate. “Seriously, though, how are you feeling?”
“I’m better. Just need some sleep. Preferably, with my mate in my arms.”
I chuckled. “I think that can be arranged. I want to check on Phoenix and Irene first.”
He kissed me and agreed. Aiden and Thalia were also heading for the pack house to check on their pups. We all decided to go together.
“I heard Paul was in the fight. Did anything happen with him?” Aiden asked.
“I really don’t know,” Adrian said. “I was busy killing Ronan.”
