Austin POV

Ever since that night with my mate, things feel a lot better between Rebel and me. She opened up to me and told me what was really bothering her. I understand why she feel like I might change my mind. She hasn’t been consistently loved in her life, if at all.

However, since that night, she has thrown herself into learning everything she can. Rebel has also been making herself seen by the pack. Part of me still wonders if she was hiding because she was afraid, I might change my mind. I won’t reopen that discussion though, because it had a positive effect on her.

When I went to see her in the library, I had no idea she would find me attractive in the state I was in. I was filthy but my mate did not care. She was turned on by my ‘rugged‘ appearance. I had been working with the warriors in the mines, securing the structure to prevent any collapses so the miners would be safe.

I love that she always wants me. I sure as hell want to bury myself in her. Hell, I want to live inside her and nev come back out. It’s heaven every time I’m buried in her.

What really made me proud though, was seeing her lead my warriors in building the smokers. She has a great mind for designing and building. It’s a bitter reminder to me that we don’t know exactly what she could have accomplished sooner, had she not been robbed of her education.

Renz came back with the scouts regarding her family in the dungeons. I wanted Dylan to go back, since he was there before. Perhaps, he would be able to befriend the omega he spoke to before into helping us extract Rebel’s family. They need to give us answers and then pay for what they did to her.

To my great surprise, Dylan not only saw her again, but he also found out that this omega comes to the Lawson house once a week to keep things clean. She found out, while bringing food to the dungeon for RI’s family, that Cullen only planned to keep Rebel’s family in the dungeons until she saw they were there her that he was getting justice for her. Then he would release them and by then she would be confined to solitude until Cullen wanted to have his way with her.

Dylan told me he was befriending Mary, the omega. Since she brings them food, it would l help and extract Rebel’s family. Mary has already agreed to help. According to my scout. with Mary that Rebel was treated so badly. She hated that none of the omegas could befrie would always try to show their gratitude when she made complex meals for guests. It was they could do without the risk of being fired from their position in the Lawson household.
