I need to talk to Rebel about these revelations and make sure she knows what is going on before someone tries to fool her into believing otherwise. My mate is smart, without question, but she is learning social settings. I’m glad she has Roxie and her wolf is special. She will help Rebel know who is lying or not.

I also need to tell her about my parents. My father may be gone but my mother will make sure I join him if I forget to tell her about my mate and the Luna Ceremony. It completely slipped my mind. I was too busy enjoying the company of mate.

During dinner, I tell her we are going to my office to talk about what the scouts have found out. Immediately, Renz, Jessup, Lacy and Jane want to hear it as well. I also make mention that Ceraline is still in her cell, and we

need to decide what to do with her.

Lacy was the first to react, “Let her rot and die a miserable death in the cell.” she says.

Janice was next, “You should take her into the middle of the pack and give her twenty lashes before banishing her.”

Janice can be downright evil sometimes.

Renz and Jessup think banishment is the best option.

Just then, one of the male omegas, Michael, walks up to us. “Al – Alpha.” He says and he is scared. I don’t know why, but I address him.

“Hello Michael. What’s wrong?” I ask him.

“Alpha Austin, I…I… I want to ask when Ceraline will be getting released.” He asks me.

I must say, it takes balls to ask your Alpha when a prisoner is getting released and you are not a ra ed member

or warrior.

“I haven’t decided what to do with Ceraline. Why do you want to know about her?” I asked.

“Um, well, I…I… I’m her mate Alpha.” He says. No wonder he is scared to ask me. He wants

afraid of what I will do to her.

“You’re her mate?” Rebel interrupts.

“Yes, Luna.” He replies quickly.

“You’re not being completely honest with me Michael.” She says.

“How do you know, Alpha?” He asks with his eyes widened.

“That’s not important. Tell me, what did she ask you to do in order to prove yourself to her?” I ask.
