Austin POV

I’ve never been nervous about meeting someone until now. This is different than any other meetings I’ve ever had before. I’m meeting my mate’s grandparents. My grandparents–in–laws, and I have to admit, it’s hard not to feel a little nervous.

I guess it’s normal to want approval from the in–laws. I’m confident in who I am as an Alpha and mate, so my nervousness is from meeting the in–laws and making good first impressions.

I stand at the entrance of the pack house when two black SUVS pull up. The first people to exit from the SUVs, look like the beta and a couple of warriors. The second door opens and Rebel squeezes my hand, “It’s them!” She whispers, full of excitement.

I glance down and smile at her. Her joy is infectious and I send my love to her through our bond.

An older couple step out of the second SUV. I immediately recognize them as Alpha Reid and Luna Adele. Rebel and I approach them, “Alpha Reid and Luna Adele, welcome to Blackstone pack,” I say smiling.

“Please, no need for formalities. You have given us a great gift. Please call us by our names.” Reid says to me.

I hold out my hand and offer a handshake, but Reid pulls me in for a hug. “Thank you for contacting us and allowing us to be here today.” His eyes are full of emotion as he turns to Rebel.

“Goddess, you look just like your mother.” Reid says. I notice Adele hasn’t stopped crying since she spotted Rebel.

They both reach out to her at the same time and hug her. The hug seems to last forever and when they break apart, I see all three of them are crying.

Adele grabs Rebel’s hands, “My grandda. ghter. I never imagined something like this would ha known you were alive, we would have brought you to Rising Moon and raised you ourselves. P trusting Harris so blindly.”
