Chapter 12-2
“It works for me. I get to spend time with my favorite little sister and my nephew. That means that it will be
a great day. Maybe tomorrow we can go to the zoo, anyway. I haven’t been to the zoo in years. I have to stop by the company on Monday, so I want to spend time with you both,” Archie says. Archie works for my
company.
When he graduated from college, he wanted to start at the bottom and work his way to the top. He didn’t want a job just because I owned the company. Both of the boys were left with pretty big inheritances as well. But all they got was money. They didn’t want the responsibility of the company. And they didn’t want
to have to deal with mom trying to take it from them. I don’t blame them for that because she has bugged
them to death over the company. Since our grandparents passed away, she has tried to get her grubby
hands on my company.
When dad told her that the company was left to me, she threw a big assed fit. She wanted all of my
grandparents‘ money and the company and thought that they would leave it all to her. So, she was royally pissed off when she found out that she didn’t get anything, not even a penny. The lawyer even told her that
she could take it to court to contest it. But since she legally removed herself from my grandparents, then
she still wouldn’t get anything.
So now Archie works for my company, but I made sure that both of the boys had shares in it. Henrie got his degree in architecture and was working for a company in New York but has been having problems with
them. “I have an interview on Monday with a company down here. I’m hoping that I get it so that I can tell my boss to fuck off. The company merry–go–round ran her mouth and told a bunch of lies about a few of us. And instead of taking our word for it, he listened to her. So now we’re all in talks with HR about it. They told us that we have a strong case against him and her. And that if we wanted to sue them, they would stand behind us. I guess that this isn’t the first time that they have both pulled shit like this,” Henrie told us.
“I hate that you are going through all of that shit. But Veer and I would love to have the both of you move
down here. I know that the extra bedrooms not very big for two of you. So if we have to, we can put Veer in my room for now, and one of you can have his room for now. But we can figure it all out later. For now,
breakfast is ready, I told them.
My kitchen, dining room, and living room were all open concept. So Archie came into the dining room part and put Veer in his high chair. I made him a plate and fixed mine and then went to sit beside him. I gave him his plate and put mine on the table. Then I went back to the kitchen and got my coffee and gave Veer
a sippy cup of milk,
Dove eventually joined us for breakfast, and when she was done eating, she had to leave. She took her plate and cup to the kitchen and then kissed Veer and was out the door. After we had eaten breakfast, I took Veer to give him a bath, and the boys cleaned up the kitchen. Like always, Veer had a blast in the tub,
and I was soaked by the time that I was done bathing him.
