Chapter 12-1

Over the next week, I didn’t see much of Leandro. He stopped by the shop a couple of times, but every

time, I made sure that I stayed in the back in the kitchen. As much as I loved and missed him, I didn’t want

to go through what I did again. I wouldn’t let him use me anymore. And I was determined to make him

think that I wasn’t me.

My brothers both got in late last night, and we have plans to go to the aquarium with Veer. They want to

spend as much time with us as possible while they are here for the next few days. Archie and Henrie both

live in New York at the moment. Archie got a degree in computers, and Henrie got his in architecture.

Right now, they are still living in New York, but they are thinking about moving either back home to be close to Dad. Or down here to be close to me. They have yet to make up their minds. That’s part of the

reason that they came down here for a visit. That and they want to visit with me and their nephew.

I have a feeling that if they move down here, that my dad and grandma won’t be far behind them. Dad’s already been coming down here when he can to visit. We have a few different branches of our IT company and one of them has been down here for years. Even though I never wanted to work at the company, I still

got an extra degree so that I could work there. I go into the office a couple of times a month to help out

with anything that needs to be done.

Dad uses the company as a way to come down here and see us. He also visits with the other company that we have in New York a couple of times a month as well. I love it when he’s able to come and visit with

1. us. I miss him and grandma so much. And Veer loves them and gets excited to see them when they are here. Probably because he gets spoiled rotten.

Since today is Saturday, I don’t have to go into the shop today. I don’t have any taste testings or anything, so I’m spending the day with my little love and my brothers. Dove has a meeting with her actual editor and the owner of the company that she writes for. She’s getting pissed over the shit the temporary editor pulled and the fact that the owner doesn’t want to do anything to her. Apparently, he’s been sleeping with her and refuses to punish her. So, while she is dealing with all of that today, we will be looking at the fish. I wake up at seven and get a

shower before getting Veer up. I put him in his pack in play and turn on cartoons while I make breakfast. Since my brothers are here, I make a big breakfast. Before I start it, I start a pot of coffee. I need my caffeine fix to start my day. Then I fix pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, biscuits, and bacon.

As soon as the smells from breakfast start to flow throughout the house, everyone comes wandering in. “Mmm, damn sissy, it smells good in here. I miss your cooking so freaking much. Archie can’t cook worth a damn, he always burns everything,” Henrie said.

Archie came in grumbling at Henrie “If you don’t like my cooking, then you can fix your own damn food from now on. Noone said that you have to eat the shit that I fix. But I do agree, it does smell wonderful in here, sissy. I miss your cooking as well. What you are fixing looks and smells delicious. There’s my little
