How to Train Your Ex-Billionaire novel Chapter 31

Winifred was having a great time playing with Delia when a little boy suddenly ran over and bumped right into her.

Delia fell to the ground and immediately burst into tears.

Winifred quickly helped Delia up and saw the boy who'd caused the trouble glance back before trying to run off.

Winifred hurried over and grabbed him. "Hey, little guy, you're not just going to run off without saying you're sorry, are you?"

The boy, a stocky kid around five or six, started struggling the moment she caught him. "Let go of me! Let me go!"

Winifred frowned. "That's not right. You bumped into someone, so you should apologize. I'll let you go after you say you're sorry."

"No way, you idiot! Pfft!"

The boy didn't just swear at her; he spat and kicked at her too.

Winifred was completely unprepared for a child to be so rude and started to get angry. "Hey, if you do that again, I'm going to spank you."

"What are you doing to my son? Let him go!"

Suddenly, a middle-aged woman ran over, shoved Winifred away, and started yelling, "A grown woman picking on a child? Have you no shame?"

Winifred quickly tried to explain, "No, I didn't hit your son. He accidentally bumped into my little girl, and I just wanted him to apologize."

"I saw everything. You were trying to hit him." The woman glared, pointing at her. "You look so prim and proper, but you're just a bully picking on a kid behind everyone's back."

The woman's voice was loud, drawing strange looks from onlookers who didn't know what had happened.

A middle-aged man with a tattooed arm walked over, looking menacing. "You hit my son?"

Winifred felt a flicker of fear and instinctively held Delia tighter. "I didn't hit your son. He bumped into this little girl, and I just asked him to apologize."

Then she turned to the boy. "Tell them, did I hit you? I only grabbed you because you bumped into this little girl."

Suddenly, another man stepped in front of him. "Hold on."

The tattooed man looked up to see someone half a head taller than him, dressed in a designer shirt with an expensive watch on his wrist. He clearly had money.

"What do you want?" the tattooed man asked.

Yvan looked at him coldly. "You think you can just walk away after knocking someone over without apologizing?"

Hearing that voice, Winifred looked up quickly. When she saw it was Yvan, she froze.

What was he doing here?

Seeing this, the tattooed man rolled up his sleeves, flexing his bulging muscles. "What's it to you? Looking to play hero?"

Yvan nodded. "That's right. Make him apologize to that little girl."
