How to Train Your Ex-Billionaire novel Chapter 88

The maid who had let Winifred in answered the call, then turned to her. 'Ma'am, it's just inside. Please, go on in.'

With that, Ella went back outside.

Winifred stood in the doorway, gift in hand, and looked inside.

The mansion was luxuriously decorated with high-end furnishings, every detail broadcasting the owner's extraordinary wealth and status.

At that moment, the living room was bustling with activity. Colorful balloons were hung artfully, and the air was filled with the cheerful noise of adults and children.

Murphy was engrossed in a game with a group of friends.

The adults chatted and laughed nearby.

No one noticed her arrival. Feeling a little awkward, she stepped inside.

Yetta Brown noticed the young woman at the entrance and walked over. 'You are...?'

Winifred quickly replied, 'Hello, I'm Winifred. I'm Murphy's...'

She wasn't sure how to introduce herself.

'Oh, you must be the Winifred that Murphy has been talking about,' Yetta Brown said with a smile. 'I'm his mother. Ms. Spencer, please, come in.'

Yetta Brown was dressed casually, her hair pulled back simply, wearing a beige cardigan, capri pants, and flats. Yet, she exuded a natural elegance that only the wealthy seem to possess.

She seemed very easygoing, and her eyes held none of the arrogance or disdain Winifred had seen in other wealthy people.

'Murphy told us he'd met a pretty doctor, and for the past few days, he's been non-stop about bringing you over so we could meet you,' Yetta Brown said, smiling. 'It's so nice to finally meet you.'

Winifred felt a little embarrassed.

Yetta Brown seemed to notice her shyness and called out to her son, 'Murphy, come here! Your Winifred has arrived!'

Murphy ran off, and Winifred breathed a sigh of relief, quickly putting down the snacks.

A few other young women were sitting on the sofa, eyeing Winifred curiously.

'Yetta, who is she? I don't think I've ever seen her before?'

One of them, a stylishly dressed girl with wavy hair, couldn't help but ask.

She was Wright's cousin, a college student in her early twenties.

Yetta Brown smiled and explained, 'This is a new friend of Murphy's. She's a dentist, right, Ms. Spencer?'

Winifred nodded with a smile. 'Yes, my hospital organizes community outreach programs. We visit kindergartens and elementary schools to teach children about dental care. That's how I happened to meet Murphy.'

'Oh, a dentist,' Teresa Holmes said, a hint of condescension in her tone. She didn't pursue the topic, instead turning to Yetta to talk about something else.
