Staring at the crowd’s shocked faces, Lira kept talking, “Bet none of you thought the one running Four Seasons Group was an Omega girl like me, huh?”
She smiled and added, “So don’t go looking down on a little girl.”
Her funny line made everyone laugh, and the mood loosened up right away.
She kept going. “A lot of people helped Four Seasons Group get to where it is today–especially all of you here.
“I won’t drag on with thanks. Bottom line, I hope you’ll keep backing Four Seasons Group. We’ll never let you down. If we mess up, just tell us–we’re happy to learn from you.”
Lira’s funny, laid–back speech, her elegant moves, and her calm vibe–no fancy, empty talk. Everyone in the crowd was won over by her sincerity.
They started chatting it up. Most couldn’t believe such a great leader was just an Omega girl.
Some bought it, some didn’t. The ones who doubted her still couldn’t wrap their heads around a low–rank werewolf girl pulling this off.
But Travis and the others who’d stuck with Lira from the start looked at her with total awe and respect.
Especially after the Blackpine Group business showdown–they admired her more than ever before.
It was one move after another: using public opinion to tank the stock price, then snapping it up cheap. Chances were, Blackpine Group still had no idea Four Seasons Group was behind it all.
That business fight had felt so good for them–total satisfaction.
And it made them look up to Lira even more.
Lira’s POV:
After my short speech, I was about to announce the dance party when the banquet hall doors suddenly flew
open.
A guy walked in, suited up, handsome as can be. Two guys in black trailed behind him.
Their sudden appearance scared all the guests.
When I saw who it was, I frowned, ticked off.
I walked up to the guy in the lead and asked, confused, “Gary? What are you doing here? You gonna mess up the party?”
Gary smiled at me, then said politely, “Ms. Krom, sorry to intrude. I’m here for Mr. Thorne to give you a gift.”
After he said that, the guy in black behind him handed he a file envelope.
I took it, staring at Gary. What was Kael up to? So hush–Bush.
Chapter 121 The Unexpected Gift
I opened the envelope, and a stock transfer form was staring right back at me.
Find
I opened it up and it was for the rest of Blackpine Group’s shares. Kael was giving all of them to me!
Gary smiled and said. “These are the remaining shares of Blackpine Group. Mr. Thorne wants to give the to you as a gift—he said it’s an apology”
As soon as Gary finished talking, the whole hall went nu with shock. People started chattering right in front of me
“We all know Empire Group bought those remaining shares! How’d they end up here, given to Ms. Krom a a gift?
“Does that mean Ms. Krom, Four Seasons Group’s chairman, is in with Empire Group’s leader?”
