Sandra glared at me, pure hate in her gaze. She scoffed. “So you’re Lira? You’re so young, but you’re so vicious!

“You didn’t just steal Barbara’s mate–you made Michael dump her for you! You got Barbara teased by her classmates at school. And today? You had the guts to push her into the pool!

“Her wolf spirit is hibernating lately–she’s already fragile. And you pushed her into that freezing water! If anything happens to Barbara, the Price family will come for you!”

James fixed me with a cold stare and snapped, “Ms. Krom, you gonna say something? Even if you’re Elder Wilson’s guest, you hurt my daughter. Don’t you owe us answers?!”

His voice cut through the air. Right away, everyone around stared at me and started chattering.

“Barbara’s the Alpha’s daughter from the Cloudburst Pack! This Ms. Krom is just an Omega, and she had

the nerve to mess with her!”

Brenda hurried over to me, panic all over her face. “Lira, what’s really going on?”

Then I turned to James. “Mr. Price, you want answers? Fine. I’ll give them to you.”

I leaned in close to Barbara, staring her down. My voice was icy. “Barbara, tell everyone right now. How’d you end up in the pool? Be clear–did I push you?!”

Barbara’s body twitched a little. She cried even harder, burying herself in Sandra’s arms.

Sandra patted her back softly, then shot me a vicious look. “She’s already a mess, and you’re still picking on her? How rude can you get! You’re just an Omega, and you keep stepping on high–rank werewolves‘ pride!

“If it weren’t for Elder Wilson, I’d shift right now and tear your throat out!”

The people watching joined in, blaming me too. “Yeah! You pushed her–just own up to it! You look so sweet, but you’re full of junk.”

“For real! She’s just an Omega. All she’s good at is healing. What right does she have to go up against high- rank werewolves?”
