Lena reached for the sandalwood box, trying to snatch it from Ryan Mason’s hands.
He pulled back, voice flat and unreadable.
“After this is done, keep Liam away from Sophie.”
Leaving those words hanging, he turned and walked off with the box.
A deeper smile curled Lena’s lips, excitement flashing in her eyes.
At last. The day she’d been waiting for had come.
After leaving the party, Sophie returned to her room. She washed up briefly and stretched out on the bed.
Moments later, a faint white smoke slipped in through the crack beneath the door.
The smoke was colorless, scentless. By the time it drifted across the room it was nearly invisible.
At first Sophie played idly on her phone, but soon her head grew heavy, her body flushed and feverish.
She dropped the phone, curling up against the sheets, desperate for something cool to ease the fire inside her.
The door pushed open from the outside. A tall figure stepped in.
In that moment, Sophie prayed it would be Marcus. But when she glanced up, her eyes filled not with relief, but dread.
“You… why is it you?”
She fought against the rising urge to cling to Ryan Mason, forcing the words through clenched teeth.
“Ryan, something’s wrong with me. Get out–now. If you can, call a doctor…”
Her voice carried a sultry edge, unintentional, but no less alluring.
And when the name Ryan left her lips, his last shred of restraint snapped.
He strode toward her.
Watching him approach, Sophie trembled.
“It was you–you drugged me!”
Back at the party, Marcus had grown restless. He rose to leave, but Zack hurried to stop him.
“Marcus, stay a little longer. If you leave, everyone else will scatter.”
Zack knew well–every one of these heirs was only here because of Marcus. Ife left, the gathering would collapse.
Marcus gave him a cool glance, then sat back down.
A few of the young men toyed with the idea of approaching, but the closer the came, the quicker they retreated.
It wasn’t cowardice–it was survival. The man’s aura was suffocating.
“They’ll never amount to anything. Even with your help, they’re useless,” Mais said coldly, rising again to leave.
Zack’s face stiffened. He didn’t try to stop him this time. He’d done all he could
Just then, Brandon Lawson shouted, “Isn’t this Sophie’s account? Why’s she livstreaming now?”

Chapter 110
The room swarmed toward him.
Marcus froze mid–step. He lifted a glass of wine, sipped, then quietly pulled ou his phone.
But he realized–he didn’t even know what platform Sophie used.
He cast a glance at Zack, who hurried to join the others.
Within moments, gasps erupted from the crowd.
“This looks like her room. But why’s it dark? What are we supposed to see?”
“Wait–is that… two people? Look at that movement. Are they filming a porn stream?”
“Holy shit. They’re having sex!”
The jeers died instantly. Phones clicked to maximum volume.
And in the silent hall, a man’s groans and a woman’s trembling moans filled the air.
Marcus’s face turned to stone. He hurled his glass to the floor-
Crash!
The shattering silenced the crowd. They scrambled to shut off their phones, but many devices kept playing in the background.
The sounds bled on.
Marcus strode out, his entire being radiating a suffocating darkness.
Zack jolted into motion, hurrying after him. Sophie must’ve been set up…
Only after Marcus left did the others dare to glance at their screens again.
Brandon grinned, vile amusement twisting his features.
“Did you hear? She moans like a slut.”
Earlier Sophie had stolen all the spotlight. Now? To see her like this–what could be better?
“You’re insane. Don’t you see Marcus practically shielding her tonight?” someone hissed.
It was true. Gossip was one thing. But defying Marcus? That was suicide.
Brandon scoffed.
“What’s there to fear? Even if Marcus was protecting her, now she’s spreading her legs for another man–on livestream. You think he’ll keep protecting her?”
He licked his lips and strode off.
“Watching on a phone is boring. I’m going to see the real thing.”
“You can’t tell me none of you fantasized about her earlier. Now the chance is ere–you’d really let it slip?”
And with that, he rushed out,
The rest wavered. Then, one by one, they followed.
Marcus reached Sophie’s door in record time.
His mind was chaos–racing through every possibility.
