Chapter 182
Chapter 182
“Fine. But right now your fans are flooding with praise, like it’s shaking heaven and earth. That little thief using your account must be thrilled to death.”
Sophie’s eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint flashing across them.
“Let her enjoy it while she can…”
At Silverwood Estates, Lena scrolled through the comments, treating every compliment as if it were meant for her.
Her pale face twisted into a manic smile, and her eyes burned with obsession.
Even though Liam had been staying home quietly these past few days, Lena could feel it–his heart wasn’t here.
She glanced down at her still–flat stomach, her gaze sharpening.
Don’t be afraid, baby. Once your mother shines as the true Liora, your father will only have eyes for us.
His body, his heart–I’ll have them both!
Two days later, Sophie and Sherry arrived at the International Art Expo.
This year’s event was held in France, the country most synonymous with art and romance. Even the locals seemed born with artistry in their
veins.
By the time Sophie reached the entrance, long lines had already formed. She tugged Sherry toward the VIP passage.
“Sophie?”
A shrill voice cut through the air. Celine Wallace strutted over on stiletto heels.
“Why is it that anywhere Liora shows up, you’re there too? Don’t tell me you’re here to leech off her fame again?”
“Sophie, you’ve got talent. Don’t you get tired of riding Liora’s coattails?”
“Listen, most of the people here today are Liora’s fans. If they see you, you’ll be run out of this place!”
“I’m not leeching anyone’s fame,”
Sophie cut her off coldly and dragged Sherry inside.
Celine tried to follow, but her high heels betrayed her. A few steps in, she was already lagging behind.
Once they sat down, Sherry muttered under her breath.
“That woman has to be brain–dead, yelling at you–the real deal. Just wait, she’s about to get slapped in the face,”
“She’s stupid, but she’s not really evil. She even helped me a couple of times by accident,”
Sherry snorted. “Then she’s not completely hopeless. Anyway, there’s still time before this starts. Mind if I play a few rounds?”

Chapter 182
“Go ahead.”
Sophie leaned over, peeking at her screen with a grin. “With your game partner again? I swear you’re obsessed with teaming up with them. Ever thought of meeting in real life? Maybe even becoming friends offline?”
Sherry logged in and sent her partner an invite.
“I’d love to, but every time I bring it up, she shoots me down. No idea what she’s worried about. I mean, I’m a young, beautiful girl–what’s she
afraid of, that I’ll eat her alive?”
“Maybe she thinks you’re some greasy old man hiding behind a keyboard…”
But the moment Sophie saw the profile picture on Sherry’s screen, her blood ran cold.
“You mean this account? And he told you he’s a girl?”
“Yeah, why?” Sherry shot her a look. “What’s with your face, like you’ve seen a ghost? Don’t tell me you know them?”
Sophie swallowed hard and blurted, “No. Just asking. Go on, play.”
“Fine.” Sherry dove straight into the game, oblivious to Sophie’s shifting expression.
Sophie flipped through her old chat logs with Ethan. When she found a certain screenshot, her stomach dropped.
She hadn’t been mistaken. The account Sherry always played with was the very one she had given up long ago–after being trashed online, she’d
handed it over to Ethan.
Which meant…Sherry’s “female game buddy” was none other than her calm, stoic brother.
Sophie almost laughed and cried at the same time. Who would’ve thought?
The International Art Expo was broadcast live worldwide. Within minutes of the stream starting, hundreds of thousands had tuned in.
Naturally, the cameras zoomed in on the most anticipated seat–the one reserved for Liora.
‘All the other judges are seated. Why isn’t Liora here yet? Don’t tell me this was fake hype?‘
‘No way. This is the International Art Expo. They wouldn’t risk their credibility like that. Liora’s too important. Bet they’re saving him for the grand finale.‘
The cameras panned across the audience.
