The burly man sneered. “We don’t want your life.”

“We want the life of the child in your belly!”

After learning their purpose, Sophie became somewhat calmer.

Judging by their words, her safety wasn’t in immediate danger.

As long as they didn’t want her dead, she would fight to protect her child.

Sophie was shoved into the operating room, and the bright fluorescent lights made her uncomfortable, so she closed her eyes.

Two doctors in white coats entered, speaking fluent English.

After preparing the anesthetic, they started walking toward her. Just as the needle was about to pierce her skin, Sophie suddenly seized the
