With that kiss, she could feel his anxiety and unease. His emotions poured right into ner.
Her heart throbbed painfully in response.
She gazed at him, then suddenly reached out to caress his face, her fingers softly ingering over his eyes.
The next moment, his urgent breath enveloped her.
Between grown-ups, you don’t need to ask or explain. One simple move says it all.
Darion had been waiting, his nerves stretched tight, his breathing growing heavier with every passing second.
Thalia’s gentle touch was like a wordless invitation, letting him know he didn’t have to hold back anymore.

The next morning, Thalia woke up to find the spot beside her empty.
She frowned, her face clouded with confusion.
After washing up, she went downstairs and heard Keith’s excited voice.
‘Tally, come look!” Keith called out.
Thalia walked over and followed his gaze. The courtyard was all white with snow, giving Rosewood Manor a brand new look.
In the garden, Darion’s tall figure was crouched down with his back facing the balcony, busy with something she couldn’t quite make out.
Thalia typed out her question, puzzled, “What’s he doing?”
Keith replied, “Darry said he’s making flowers.”
‘Making flowers?’ Thalia thought, her face showing her confusion.
Just then, Natasha Riley came back in from outside. The snow had made the temperature drop sharply, and her cheeks were rosy from the cold as she kept rubbing her hands to warm up.
