I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 797

Chapter 797 No Fireworks With You

He didn’t say a word, just buried his face in her palm, drinking in her warmth and scent, like he was relying on her for everything.

The study went quiet for a bit.

Thalia had said all she needed to. Whether he decided to go or not, that was his call

now.

After a quiet moment, Thalia pulled her hand back and sent a message: “I’ll go rest for a while.”

Darion said, “Alright.”

“I’ll let you know when dinner’s ready,” he said.

Thalia said, “Okay.”

As Thalia stepped out of the study, she spotted Helen Blackburn waiting nearby, her face full of anticipation.

As soon as Helen saw Thalia, she hurried over and asked, “Thalia, did he agree?”

Thalia typed back, “I don’t know. He didn’t say anything.”

Helen’s expression dimmed, disappointment clear in her eyes. She nodded. “Okay, got

it.”

After a pause, Helen asked, “You didn’t tell on us to Darion, did you?”

Thalia’s brows furrowed, and she shot Helen a frosty glance.

Helen took a deep breath. “Don’t look at me like that. You know if you say something, Darion won’t have anything to do with us anymore. I really don’t want that, Thalia. You know what I mean, don’t you?”

Thalia’s lips curled into a mocking smile, but she didn’t say another word. She just turned and headed straight back to the master bedroom.

Helen felt her eyes burn from that mocking smile on Thalia’s lips.

‘What does she mean by that?’ Helen thought.

‘Is she mocking me?’ Helen wondered.

Helen was really pissed off.

But right now, Helen couldn’t even go against Thalia. She had to play nice, just so Darion wouldn’t turn on her.

Helen closed her eyes, steadied her breath, then headed downstairs.

Chapter 707 No Fireworks With You

Thalia had a quick nap, and when she woke up, it was already evening. The world

outside was shrouded in darkness, and the room was dim. She sat on the bed, blinking, still groggy and trying to shake off the sleepiness, not quite back to reality yet.

“Thalia.”

Just then, a voice broke the silence.

Thalia blinked and looked toward the nearby sofa. Darion was sitting there. He’d heard her wake up and called her name.

She spoke, her words slow and spaced out: “Why… are… you… here?”

Darion stood up and walked over slowly, his leg bumping the edge of the bed before he came around to sit beside her. “I thought you might be scared, so I came to stay with you. It’s dark out now, right? I can hear people setting off fireworks.”

Thalia glanced out the window and nodded softly. “Yeah.”

Darion lowered his gaze, his voice gentle. “The fireworks must look amazing. Since I can’t be there to watch them with you this New Year, maybe you can watch them for me. Then you can tell me what colors you see, and what shapes they make.”

Thalia’s lashes quivered as she grabbed his hand and wrote in his palm: [Let Keith tell you.]

She still wouldn’t give up, wanting him to spend New Year’s at the old place.
