Zoe thought she had bought Lily some time regarding the expulsion, but the teacher's call came much faster than she anticipated.

"Ms. Lynd, I'm so sorry, but the school is officially notifying you that Lily is no longer permitted to attend classes starting tomorrow. Our hands are tied; the incident created too much of a negative impact."

The teacher didn't even bother mentioning complaints from other parents. Sienna and Hayden held all the power.

It was blindingly obvious that Holden was their only priority.

A wave of suffocating anger crashed over Zoe. She wanted to scream.

Hayden had publicly claimed Lily as his daughter just moments ago, yet the school was still forcing them out on the very same day.

Garrett had heard the entire exchange.

"What's the verdict?"

The call had already disconnected.

Zoe pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. "They want her out immediately."

Garrett's brow furrowed in disbelief.

He knew for a fact that the Thorne family was the largest shareholder of that prestigious preschool.

Essentially, they owned it.

The idea of the Thornes expelling their own flesh and blood was utterly absurd.

"What's your plan? If you need help, just say the word. I have connections at a few excellent academies."

Garrett had never encountered a man like Hayden Thorne.

He wasn't sure if Zoe knew the school belonged to the Thornes, so he kept that detail to himself to spare her feelings.

Zoe's shoulders slumped in defeat.

"I might have to take you up on that offer."

She hadn't had the time to research any alternatives.

Garrett nodded reassuringly.

"Transferring schools is no big deal. There's a fantastic academy right down the street from Sterling Group. A lot of our executives send their kids there because it's incredibly convenient for drop-offs and pick-ups. The facilities are just as good, if not better, than her current place. I can take you for a tour whenever you're ready."

He was fully committed to helping her through this.

"Thank you."

Her voice brimmed with genuine gratitude.

By the time Hayden and Sienna emerged from the school, Zoe and Garrett were long gone.
