A man and a woman strode through the office door just in time to catch Lily's words.

"Mom! Lily hit me!"

He wailed, sounding utterly heartbroken.

Sienna stared at the two swollen lumps on her son's forehead, her heart aching.

But seeing her big, strong boy beaten up by a little girl like Lily fueled her anger more than anything.

"Uncle Hayden!"

Holden howled, clinging to Hayden's leg and squeezing out fake tears.

Hayden glanced down at the boy and gently pushed him toward Sienna.

"Take him to the nurse's office and get some ice on that."

Sienna shot Zoe a dark, venomous glare.

Saying nothing, she silently led her son out of the office.

Hayden's voice was frigid, but when his predatory gaze landed on Garrett, the temperature in the room plummeted to below freezing.

"What exactly happened here?"

The teacher, already intimidated by Garrett, was now completely paralyzed by Hayden's terrifying aura. She couldn't even form a coherent sentence.

The crushing pressure in the room made it hard to breathe. Zoe stood off to the side, not bothering to speak.

Let the teacher say whatever she wanted. If she lied, Zoe would tear her apart to defend her daughter.

"Mr. Thorne, I believe you should be asking your precious nephew that question."

Garrett was furious after hearing Lily's account.
