I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 251

Zoe readily agreed.

The two of them headed to a landmark building in the city, the most prestigious luxury mall in town.

Garrett walked straight into a premium jade boutique.

The older generation had an inexplicable obsession with jade and emeralds. Garrett figured getting her something like this wouldn't earn him massive points, but it certainly wouldn't be a mistake.

Truthfully, he had no personal connection to the Thorne matriarch. He was just following his grandfather's orders. Apparently, Arthur Kendall Sr. had commissioned his own gift ages ago and had been hounding Garrett to pick out something respectable so he wouldn't embarrass the family.

It was the first time Garrett had ever seen his grandfather care this much.

He had never heard of the Kendalls having any close ties to the Thornes.

With Zoe's help, Garrett picked out a stunning jade pendant. The craftsmanship was flawless.

As they walked past a men's luxury boutique, Zoe spotted an elegant tie clip and a pair of silver cufflinks.

While Garrett went off to browse another store, she secretly bought them.

She wanted to properly thank him for taking such good care of her recently.

She planned to find the right moment to give them to him.

Zoe had the clerk pack the exquisite items into small boxes and tucked them into her handbag.

When she found Garrett, he was standing at a women's jewelry counter, talking to the sales associate.

Zoe saw him looking at an incredibly expensive diamond necklace. Assuming it was for his girlfriend, she felt a slight pang of envy.

"Are you here to pick up that necklace, Mrs. Thorne? We have it all prepared for you."

Zoe turned around and came face-to-face with a man and a woman.

The man was dressed in a crisp black shirt, his suit jacket draped over his left arm. The woman clinging to his right arm had her chin tilted up arrogantly, her face radiating a cold, haughty elegance.

Standing together, Zoe and Garrett looked like a perfectly matched pair themselves, a stunning sight to behold.

"Bring it out."

Sienna waited for the clerk to open the velvet box. Inside lay a complete, dazzling set of jewelryโ€”earrings, a necklace, and a diamond ring.

Zoe hadn't expected to run into Hayden and Sienna just by stepping out to shop.

Garrett saw them too and lowered his voice.

"Let's go over there."

He knew Zoe definitely didn't want to deal with them.

But Sienna was faster. After having the jewels fastened, she called out to Zoe.

"What a coincidence. Are you bringing someone shopping too, Mr. Stone?"

She had no intention of calling Zoe 'sister', and Zoe was perfectly fine with that.

Hayden's cold gaze swept over Garrett and Zoe.

It finally landed on the high-end shopping bag in Garrett's hand.
