I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 26

"I'll just take this set."

Without waiting for Hayden's opinion, or even asking if he thought it looked good, she casually handed his black card straight to the store manager.

"That'll be eight hundred thousand dollars in total. We'll waive the extra change and make it a flat eight hundred thousand."

Zoe raised an eyebrow. "How much?"

Ms. Finch smiled warmly. "Eight hundred thousand dollars."

Zoe almost cursed. "Why don't you just rob a bank?"

"Swipe the card. We'll take this entire rack," Hayden said, having noticed Zoe staring at the front display for a long time. Given her current taste, Hayden could easily picture how sophisticated every piece from this line would look on her.

"Yes, of course, thank you, Mr. Thorne, thank you..."

The manager wasn't sure how to address Zoe, and tried flatteringly, "Mrs. Thorne?"

Hayden didn't correct her.

The manager's legs felt like jelly. As she took the card with both hands, she trembled with pure joy.

This was a literal god of wealth dropping from the sky.

Zoe stared in shock at Hayden's deep eyes. That predatory gaze made her heart inexplicably drop.

Hayden's arm slid naturally around her slender waist.

"Whatever you like, just pick it."

The dangerous man leaned in, his steady breath brushing against her sensitive earlobe. He spoke so closely they looked like a deeply in love couple.

The nearby staff covered their mouths, giggling with a mix of envy and jealousy.

Warning bells went off in Zoe's head. She subtly stepped back, trying to pry herself out of his grip.

Seriously, what was wrong with Hayden?

Buying all these clothes would cost a fortune. Why didn't he just buy the whole brand while he was at it?

"If you like it, I'll buy out this entire brand and have them design exclusively for you. How does that sound?"

Hayden took her earlobe between his teeth, his grip on her waist tightening.

Zoe was inexplicably abandoned once again.

She genuinely thought Hayden needed a psychiatric evaluation. The man was crazy.

"Mrs. Thorne, did you forget something?"

Right after seeing Zoe out, the staff noticed her walking back in.

Sienna Winters smiled faintly. "Forget something?"

The staff member suddenly realized this 'Mrs. Thorne' was dressed differently from the one who just left.

Moreover, her aura was entirely different.

Ms. Finch rushed over immediately. "Mrs. Thorne, it's a misunderstanding. Their eyes are playing tricks on them; they mistook you for someone else."

Sienna felt slightly suspicious. Beside her, Mrs. Winters exuded arrogance and disdain.

"Mistook her? How many Mrs. Thornes are there in New York for you to mistake?"
