Clara sobbed uncontrollably while Sienna continued to play the comforting daughter.

Zoe stood completely unfazed. She raised her eyes slightly, watching the mother-daughter duo perform their theatrical masterpiece. The very last shred of familial affection she held for Clara finally disintegrated into dust.

Her own mother, Clara, had not only refused to protect her from a monster who tried to assault her, but was now teaming up with that monster's daughter to publicly destroy her character. There was zero point in holding onto any sentiment for Clara.

"Doesn't your conscience bleed when you spew those lies?" Zoe asked coldly. "The evidence of Terrence's attempted assault is entirely on my phone. The day I came over for dinner, he showed up unexpectedly and cornered me in the storage room to do his sick bidding. I'm not that helpless sixteen-year-old girl anymore. Your excuses mean absolutely nothing."

"The video on my phone captured everything he did and every disgusting word he said. It's all there, crystal clear. We'll let the judge play it for the courtroom, so everyone can see what a monster your perfect father and husband truly is under his human skin."

Clara was stunned to hear about a video. Sienna's face darkened instantly. "Mom, don't worry. The video is definitely a deepfake. Dad isn't that kind of person. She makes a habit of framing people. The judge will see right through it."

Terrence was escorted to the defendant's stand. Having survived his injuries after medical treatment, his complexion was pale and haggard.

Zoe cast a frigid glare at his face. Letting him live had been far too merciful.

Terrence couldn't bring himself to meet Zoe's eyes. The events of that day were burned into his mind. He had seen her and instantly felt his filthy desires flare up, and he had been thrilled when she didn't put up a fight, simply following him into the storage room.

Terrified Clara would catch them, he had dragged Zoe to the most secluded spot in the house. He thought he was in for an intense thrill, but the second the door closed, Zoe had snapped his arm and shattered his kneecap with a brutal kick.

He had collapsed on the spot. Zoe had tossed a knife at his feet, ordering him to castrate himself. He had nearly died of sheer terror.

It was only then that Terrence realized he had messed with the absolute wrong person. Zoe had indeed grown into a stunning woman, but beneath the surface, she was a demon who had returned purely to exact vengeance on him.

He still remembered her chilling stare, piercing through him like a wraith. If he hadn't forced himself to make that gruesome cut to his own groin, he would have likely bled out right then and there.

Thank god Clara had found him. But that bitch Zoe had escaped, and he had nearly been rendered completely impotent. Just thinking about it sent a phantom, excruciating ache through his lower body.
