Nadia and Zoe climbed into Garrett's car with their copy of the divorce agreement, Nadia grinning from ear to ear.

"We finally got it! Zoe, you're free!"

Garrett looked pleasantly surprised, while Zoe just offered a faint, tranquil smile.

Deep down, she didn't feel much of anything.

She had no memories of her marriage to Hayden, so divorcing him felt no different than a calm sip of water.

Sitting in the backseat, Nadia leaned in and whispered in Zoe's ear.

"You're officially divorced. We have to go out and celebrate tonight."

Remembering that terrifying night she got hauled into the police station, Zoe instinctively tried to decline.

"Don't worry, it'll be a clean night out. Unless... you've actually got something going on with Garrett? If that's the case, I won't play third wheel."

Seeing how Nadia seemed even more thrilled about the divorce than she was, Zoe didn't want to ruin her mood. They genuinely hadn't hung out much due to work, so she finally agreed.

She had no intention of hiding it from Garrett and openly told him she was heading to a lounge with Nadia.

Garrett immediately looked alarmed. "Drinking? But you're pregnant."

"I'm not drinking," Zoe reassured him. "I'm just going to keep Nadia company."

She owed Nadia more favors than she could count.

Letting her let loose for a night was the least she could do. Deep down, Zoe knew Nadia was harboring a lot more pain than she let on.

If she ever got her hands on Asher Kendall, she was going to expose Nadia's feelings for him.

He was a grown man—he needed to either commit or let her go.

Keeping her dangling like this was cruel.

She actually wanted Garrett to tag along. If Nadia's overbearing interest showed up again, at least Garrett could run interference.
