"Where are you going?"

Hayden's gaze dropped to Ethan's hand with clear disdain.

"Business."

He yanked his arm free and strode out the door.

Sienna had packed lightly. Nita walked her and Holden to the front door.

Hayden's car was already idling in the driveway. Holden bolted forward and scrambled into the backseat.

"Uncle Hayden! Mom said we get to live together every day now! Is that crybaby going to be there too? Because if she is, my mom and I aren't coming."

Sienna quickly covered Holden's mouth to stop his reckless babbling, though there was no real reprimand in her tone.

"Lily isn't there, sweetie. Don't worry."

Holden crinkled his nose in disgust.

"She's not my sister."

Hayden raised an eyebrow but remained silent.

Half an hour later, the car pulled into Blackwood Manor.

The staff rushed out, assuming Zoe had returned.

Instead, an energetic Holden and a deeply arrogant Sienna stepped out of the vehicle.

She swept her critical gaze over the estate. Even though the grounds were immaculately manicured, she nitpicked every detail, immediately ordering the landscapers to redo the gardens exactly to her liking.

Mrs. Gable hadn't expected Mr. Thorne to replace the lady of the house so quickly.

Watching Sienna bark orders left and right, the housekeeper knew instantly that this woman was trouble.

Her brow furrowed in deep confusion, unable to decipher Hayden's intentions.

"From now on, Mrs. Charles Thorne is the lady of this house," Hayden announced.

Mrs. Gable was stunned.

Rumors had always swirled that Mr. Thorne had a romantic history with his late brother's wife.

Zoe had only moved out a few months ago, and now her replacement was already moving in.

The staff exchanged bewildered glances, but no one dared question Hayden's orders.

One by one, they bowed their heads and addressed Sienna respectfully.

Sienna wasn't entirely pleased.

She wanted to be called Mrs. Thorne, plain and simple.

Adding Charles's name into the mix firmly tethered her to her dead husband.

It left a sour taste in her mouth.

But she was here now; she could slowly correct these minor offenses over time.

"Where is my room?"

She had already done a quick sweep of the upper floor.

She guessed Zoe's room was the second door past the master suite.
