Sienna was practically glowing with ecstasy.

She immediately dialed Valerie Yates, instructing the Thorne family's butler to retrieve a specific safe from her old room and deliver it directly to Blackwood Manor.

She had secretly kept Hayden and Zoe's marriage certificate hidden away all this time.

Carefully, she placed the divorce certificate back on the bed exactly as she had found it, pretending she had never seen a thing.

On his way back to the office, Hayden's phone rang. It was Sienna.

"Hayden, I still have your and Zoe's marriage certificate. I don't really want to hold onto it anymore. Let me know what you want to do with it."

Hayden pondered for a moment, glanced at Colin, murmured a brief reply to Sienna, and hung up.

"I'm heading back to the office. Go to Blackwood Manor, collect the marriage certificate from Sienna, and deliver it to Zoe at the Kendall estate. Ask her when she's coming back."

Colin stared blankly.

"Coming back where? Sienna just moved in."

Hayden leaned back against the leather seat, his gaze distant.

"She's always loved The Highland Retreat. It's quiet. Peaceful. I'll move out there with her."

Colin was speechless.

For a terrifying second, he had thought his boss was actually planning to move Zoe back into Blackwood Manor and force the two women to live under the same roof.

Thank god Hayden wasn't completely out of his mind.

"And if she refuses?"

Zoe had changed drastically; surely Hayden had noticed that by now?

"Tell her the Command is conducting a home inspection. I need her to cooperate for a few months. Once they're satisfied, she can go wherever she wants. I'll even sign The Highland Retreat over to her. She won't lose out on this deal."

Colin didn't share his boss's blind optimism.

For five years, Zoe had acted like the sky was falling if she was more than ten feet away from Hayden. But now that she had willingly walked away, did Hayden honestly believe sending an old marriage certificate would bring her running back?

Justice Jordan had already confirmed their divorce was real. Beatrice didn't know yet, but when she found out, the shock might actually kill her.

With a heavy sigh, Colin took the marriage certificate and drove to the Kendall estate.

The Kendalls' butler answered the door. Colin craned his neck but saw no sign of Zoe.
