Garrett was equally shocked.

What did Hayden mean by that?

Did he know Zoe was pregnant? Did he know she was about to give birth?

Garrett lifted his teacup, swallowing down the turbulent emotions surging in his chest. Hayden had known all along?

He sipped his tea absently. If Hayden knew everything, why hadn't he shown up at the Kendall estate to bring Lily and his pregnant wife home as a proper husband should?

She was pregnant, after all. If Hayden had come to pick her up, Garrett wouldn't have stopped him.

There were only two explanations: either Hayden was lying through his teeth, or he knew she was pregnant and was turning a blind eye to keep her out of the way for Sienna's sake.

Keeping her at the Kendall estate removed a massive hurdle for Hayden and Sienna, letting them play house without interruptions.

Garrett was convinced it was the latter.

Hayden knew about the second child. Those messengers he supposedly sent to the Kendalls were all just a show.

He felt sick for Zoe. His grip on the porcelain cup tightened until his knuckles went white.

"Ms. Lynd is pregnant? Since when?"

The words slipped out of Timothy's mouth before he could stop them. Wasn't it public knowledge that their marriage was a disaster?

How were they having a second kid?

Hayden shot Timothy a sideways glance. "She's due in two months."

That essentially answered the question.

Realizing his slip, Timothy quieted down. Jasper, catching on to Timothy's excessive shock, gently blew on his tea and chuckled.

"Timothy, Mrs. Thorne has made incredible contributions to the National Space Agency. You'd better prepare a hefty bonus for the new baby."

Still slightly dazed, Timothy followed Jasper's lead. "Naturally."

Jasper felt a twinge of regret knowing he wouldn't get to meet Zoe anytime soon.

The group settled into Hayden's office to discuss the aerospace initiative in Jasper's hands.
