I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 545

Was Garrett really that noble to accept another man's wife and kids? Or was it because Zoe had been funneling her fortune into Summit Enterprises all these years?

A suffocating wave of anger lodged in Hayden's throat. When he looked at Sienna, his expression was dark.

Sienna froze. The Easton Group crisis had blown up. She had desperately pulled strings to suppress the lawsuits, paying out nearly ten million dollars from her personal accounts to settle with five users.

They had sold at least a hundred bots in the first batch alone.

If settling five of them cost ten million, she couldn't fathom the financial ruin if they all malfunctioned. Even liquidating the Winters Group wouldn't cover the damages.

Easton Group belonged to the Thorne family. It was the company Hayden had sacrificed everything to protect for his beloved brother.

Hearing Hayden's question, Sienna faltered.

If she admitted that the bots were defective and she had recklessly taken on massive orders, artificially inflating the stock price... it could lead to a catastrophic crash and the liquidation of Easton Group.

She didn't dare imagine what Hayden would do to her if that reality came to pass.

Would she still be able to stay by his side? Would people still view her as a business prodigy? Would she still be idolized by the masses?

"Just a minor glitch, but it's been handled."

Sienna lied, too terrified to confess the truth.

Hayden's attention lingered on her for a mere three seconds before shifting back to Zoe's betrayal.

As for the boy, Ian, he was absolutely certain he was his own flesh and blood.

Zoe had real nerve, having someone forge medical documents to fool him.

"Alright."

Hayden didn't press further.

Sienna was taken aback. She had assumed that if he asked for details, she could ease into the truth and ask for his help.

But Hayden showed zero interest in inquiring further.

Disappointment gnawed at her.

Easton Group belonged to Charles Thorne. How could he just brush it off?

Besides, she was standing right there. He had been away for days; shouldn't he at least show some concern for her?

Even a casual friend would ask how she was doing, let alone someone she shared such an intimate history with.
