If she had simply twisted her ankle, he could have supported her arm and helped her walk. There was no need to lock his arm around her waist and drag her flush against his chest.

"I have a doctor friend whose last name is Quinn, an excellent orthopedic specialist. Mr. Kendall, my driver isn't here tonight, so if you wouldn't mind taking the wheel? I'll sit in the back and keep an eye on her. You don't mind, do you?"
