I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 561

Sienna sobbed with such heartbreaking devastation that Hayden had no choice but to offer comfort.

She clutched the lapels of his shirt, refusing to let him go. Knowing she was overwhelmed with grief, he gently patted her back, murmuring soft reassurances.

"I'm here. Holden is going to be perfectly fine."

He coaxed her in a low, soothing tone until her frantic emotions finally stabilized. She looked up at him, her eyes shining with apologetic vulnerability.

"I'm just so terrified of losing him. I couldn't control myself. I'm sorry for being such a burden, especially when I know how incredibly busy you've been lately.

"I shouldn't have called you. I shouldn't have dumped this on you when he got sick. I should be strong enough to bear this on my own."

She was still crying when the emergency room light finally flicked off. A doctor stepped out, and Sienna immediately rushed over to him.

"How is my son?"

The doctor's expression was visibly relieved. "Mrs. Thorne, the boy is stable. We plan to continue the blood transfusions to ensure a full recovery."

Sienna reacted with immediate, frantic agitation.

"You plan to give him more blood? From your blood bank? Absolutely not. I'm transferring him to another hospital. I won't let Holden stay here for another second."

The doctor looked deeply troubled as he tried to reason with her. "Mrs. Thorne, we are still investigating why that reaction occurred, but I can personally guarantee that nothing like it will happen again."

Sienna remained fiercely resistant. Just then, Nita Thorne hurried down the corridor. She had nearly fainted from sheer panic when she heard Holden's condition had deteriorated.

Hayden spoke up, his tone even. "If the doctor says it's safe, then it's safe."

"No! I will not gamble with Holden's life again!"

Sienna vehemently refused to back down.
