Hayden kept his eyes fixed on the road. "I don't have time."

"Everyone who's anyone in the industry is attending. Commissioner Sterling even invited Garrett and Zoe. Word is, Zoe is presenting a major report today." Hayden let out a cold scoff. "Zoe? Are you sure you haven't made a mistake?"

The voice on the line was resolute.

"Yes, sir. It's absolutely confirmed." Hayden's brows drew into a tight knot.

She had barely finished her first month postpartum and was already out networking? She couldn't wait to show off.

Was showing off really more important to her than taking care of her child?

Did Garrett actually care about her?

If he did, he would have insisted she stay home and recover.

"Ms. Lynd, I know it might be out of line, but whoever your husband is, if the marriage isn't working, I wish you a swift divorce. I've got a roster of excellent, eligible bachelors lining up the moment you're single. Don't let me down now."

Everyone laughed at Sebastian's remark, and Zoe brushed it off as a joke. The lighthearted mood shattered the moment Garrett glanced back, seeing Hayden walking in, his face an emotionless mask, trailing beside Sienna, Ethan Montgomery, Quentin Muir, and Ian Varley.
