When Garrett finished speaking, a heavy, collective silence fell over the room.

Hayden stood off to the side, saying absolutely nothing.

Valerie gripped the microphone, completely at a loss for what to do.

She had clung to the hope that if things really went south, Sienna would at least protect her.

But as she stared out at the audience and realized Sienna was truly gone, genuine panic set in.

Security personnel were already approaching, and the police had arrived as well.

Someone had called the cops the moment Valerie stormed the stage to cause a scene.

Given the high-profile nature of this event, trash like Valerie had no right to come up here and spew nonsense.

"Ms. Valerie Yates, you are under arrest for disturbing the peace."

The officers flashed their handcuffs, and Valerie trembled in terror.

After absorbing Garrett's revelations, the crowd immediately broke into furious whispers.

Ethan Montgomery was so livid his face turned pale.

Quentin Muir and Caleb looked at him with sheer pity.

"Is this the genius you've been worshiping?"

Quentin scoffed. Seeing Ethan's darkened expression, Caleb had intended to add a few mocking words of his own. But remembering that Easton Group's overseas shares had already been suspended and they were facing delisting in thirty days, he decided against provoking Ethan any further.

"Turns out she and Zoe are actually sisters."

This was something Ethan had never anticipated in a million years.

He had always known Zoe could be difficult in the past, and he believed Zoe had stolen Hayden away. He assumed they all just had a biased filter against Zoe, and that Sienna was the true victim.

Only now did he realize they hadn't wronged Sienna at all.

"That woman is a thief. You were the only one who treated her like a treasure. Just because she made you a little money, you thought she was a prodigy. Easton's next step is total bankruptcy. Claw back whatever funds you can, otherwise you won't just lose your investment—you'll be saddled with debts and lawsuits."

"Bankruptcy liquidation? Then what about me? What happens to the money I invested?"

Hayden looked at Ethan. "Consider it a charitable donation."

Hayden followed up with a rapid-fire interrogation that hit him right in the soul. "Did I tell you to invest?"

Ethan: "No."

Hayden: "Were you not warned that investments carry risks and you should proceed with caution?"

"..."

"Sienna is a director at Easton! Are you trying to pass the buck?" Ethan argued weakly.

Hayden: "Since you knew she was a director at Easton, and you trusted her, did you bother running a proper risk assessment before investing?"

Ethan was completely dumbfounded once again.
